Personally I cant see any point in going on about it until the RPRA accepts this form of measuring loft locations, they obviously dont think that this is accurate enough to change the rules.I have plotted many lofts in the past and always get the fancier to agree with where I place the pinhole.
The correct procedure is for your application to be on the agenda for the club meeting (should not be at the AGM)if your application is accepted by a majority of the members present then at the next meeting of the club you are then voted in. Sorry if you mentioned it before but was the secretary and members aware that you were outside of the clubs radius as this could make a difference when it comes to finally voting you in.
Personally I dont like keeping y/bs that havnt been trained or raced in their year of birth,if at the end of the season I have to many birds these are allways the first to go.JMO.
Been checking my Staf Van Reet pedigrees and can only find her ring number which was BELG.82.6397910,she was bred off DIKKE PRINS a winner at that time of 26 first prizes and HOFKENS DUIVEN.
4+ MILES OVERFLY AND YOUR THINKING OF JOINING ANOTHER CLUB YOU MUST BE HAVING A LAUGH,OUR SHORTEST MEMBER GIVES THE LONGEST ONE 12 MILES AND THE SHORTEST FLYER IS PROBABLY THE BEST IN THE CLUB,SOUNDS TO ME YOUR NO DIFFERENT TO THEM.
You will probably find that all clubs use different ways to set their radius, some use latitude and longitude, others might use say a river or a motorway, others say x amount of miles from the club HQ,this would probably be as the crow flies.
You say you cant get your rings until Jan.is that because your in the SHU as RPRA members can get them in Dec,received our club rings about 5 days ago and also my NFC rings, not that it makes much difference to me as I wont be using them until Feb.
Of course not he needs to be proposed and seconded, even then a vote as to be taken by the rest of the members and he only takes over if the majority votes for him.If the post is not filled at the Agm then another meeting can be called at a later date to vote someone in,so if the new member is proposed and seconded and voted in at that meeting thats fine.
Under RPRA rules applications are not accepted at the AGM they are taken at a ordinary meeting usually held after the AGM, whereas election of officers takes place at the AGM.
