Received our clubs this morning,we had to fill out a form last year to get the activation code so thats nothing new,as for joining the club for £75 thats not compulsory so no probs as far as I can see.

Didnt feed this myself but I always remember my Grandfather telling me of a fancier years ago who used to feed his birds on potato peelings and rice pudding.

Have you got the boxes already as some of the fronts come in different sizes.

Maybe have a look how our fed decides the following years programme.The management committee (2 members from each club in the fed) shall appoint annually a sub committee to formulate the following years race programme.The sub committee will canvas each club for preferences and taking these into account together with site availability and suitability will formulate a choice of 2 inland and continental race programmes for voting on by the management committee(2 members from each club).

I think the best advise to give anyone who is thinking of buying a ETS system is to check out what the majority in your club as and go for that,it makes it so much easier if you all have the same.JMO.

I used to think that way years ago but with the price of things these days and the way things are its nice to be able to win some money back to pay for everything.

Just started working out how much we have left for prize money in our club and was wondering how other clubs work their prize money out,basically we charge x amount in the club to send our birds each week ie.50p all inland races,£2.50 for the first 2 channel races and £3.oo for the last 2,our Fed then charges us x amount per bird for transporting them and whatevers left goes as prize money the same amount for each race.Although we lost on a couple of inland races ie fed charge was 60p+63p we finished up doing quite good for old birds.Young birds are worked out the same but separated from the old birds,not looking to good at the moment as charges were quite high 76p one inland race and the channel race was £2.50 so broke even on that one.

Surely you are contradicting yourself there,as you said a family of birds winning in one area may not win in another part,so what good would position of the loft be any of use to someone who may decide to buy birds from that fancier.

I would say the majority of fanciers buying in new stock are after breeders,unless you are buying in youngbirds to race so things like loft position doesnt really help when choosing a future breeder,unless you can find someone who is packing in the sport and you perhaps can get hold of their breeding pigeons I,m afraid you pays your money and takes your chance weather a bird will breed you winners.

I Have their pamphlet with all the different mixtures in but they dont show a % of each corn in the mixtures,there are a few phone numbers in there that might be of use if you want them.
