A young bird as either got it or it hasn,t I certainly cant believe that a certain system will make a bad bird good.

Three or four guys in our club spent a lot of money on them from very good sources,they now say they are the worse pigeons they have ever had.

I would say Legal,the rule does not mention the bird,it says the attennae must be within the confines of the loft.

If you still havn,t had any luck give me a shout can even bring them down to Caerphilly next week when we come down to the show.

You cant put something into the rule thats not there,its talking about the attenae not the pigeon.

This does happen but it is not against RPRA rules.

The bobwires need to be at the back of the trap after the birds have clocked,the front of the trap should be as open as possible,the ones I made are like a open box with bob wires at the back,the front of the box as a hinged board which drops down for the birds to land on,they then walk into the box which as the pad underneath as they walk in they are timed and then they go through the bobs into the loft,the box is inside the loft with the hinged board covering the front when not in use.

Allthough it might be expensive I think your best bet would be to phone them.

Is Northrop Barker the same fancier.If as I believe it is the very first birds that he had were a gift off his future father in law this was in 1865 but no mention of the strain,it wasnt until 1900 that he bought all of george gits surplus birds,but no mention of any Silvers,duns or cream coloured birds.

Very impresive pedigree but personally I would sooner know what she as bred,you dont say weather or not the breeder buyer bird actually won anything just that she bred it.

Sorry its a bit off the thread but I am in the process of building up a team of Bricoux x Sions, the Sions I have can be traced back to many FRench rung birds,a freind of mine had a loft full of all Sions until he passed away a couple of years ago.

As he actually bred you anything any good.

Why worry anyway if it as lost a minute,depending on how long the clock was running on your last race I would say that it is well within the limits,it would be good to have the clock running as near correct as possible each race but if you know that its running 1 minute slow each week I would leave it alone.

These clocks are very good,I,ve got one myself which I use mainly as a Master timer now since having ETS, for members that still use standard clocks, but they also need a printer with them which is needed to take out the timings,this will be a problem if the club that you join hasn,t got one and there is no menstion of a printer on the advert,If I were you I would give this one a miss mate,I,m sure there may be someone on here that may have a old clock that you could have to start you off.
