  1. This would be o.k.but what about people who are say in the NFC and MNFC,you have to have their rings on your youngbirds to be able to send in their youngbird races, this is one reason why some fanciers put two rings of the same year on their birds.
  2. I as a club secretary would take that tape off to check what the ring was and I hope that every other marking offocial in any other club would do the same.
  3. Mayby but was one of the rings a old ring and the other a youngbird ring and did you enter it in a old bird race.
  4. If you want to send in the young bird National races most have their own rings so some members will ring a youngbird with say a NFC ring and another ring from another national club.
  5. I,m sorry but as secretary of our club I would not allow a youngbird to go in a oldbird race unless it was a any age race or the owner sent it as a trainer, and if the ring was taped up it would soon be untaped to see what year the ring was,and I would not hesitate to go before the Union if the member did not agree with my decision because i,m sure they would throw it out.
  6. IF this happened it doesn,t say much for the officials of the club.
  7. As I said before its got a 2009 ring on so it is a youngbird,it would not matter what other ring it as on,its a youngbird full stop.
  8. If it carries a RPRA 2009 it would be obvious that it was a youngbird anyway because the rings are not issued until the beginning of January in any year.

    bull boxes

Yes I did use it and just realised I still have a hen which was bred from the bull cock that I used at the time,a 2002 rung bird.It worked very well but you had to have 4 pairs of birds spare which you could float the eggs under from the hens which were paired to the bull cock.

    bull boxes

I purchased one of those Bull Boxes some years ago after seeing it demonstrated at Blackpool by the guy who made them, his name is Andy Heal and he ran a business called Homestead Joinery somewhere down the other side of Bath,up until this year he as allways had a stall at Blackpool selling pigeon stuff but he wasn,t there this time, there was a video issued with the box that showed you how to use it but unfortunatly I sent it to a pigeon basics member in Scotland to have a look at and i,ve never seen it since, the box as a large section in the middle where the cock goes and also two hen boxes on either side of that.I dont have the box any more though.
  11. All the stuff for the club was given free,I think this is the same now as we have had ours for 2 years, the cheapest system for individual fanciers cost £249.
  12. The Bricon speedy on its own is £220,the 2 bird pad is £118 and rings are £1.10 each,it would work out cheaper if you bought the Speedy pack though which is £338 but you do also get 5 metres of cable,a power supply, clock holder, clock bag and ring pliers rings are seperate at £1.10 each ,.these prices were the ones at Blackpool last weekend so could be differant now.
  13. Keep a close eye on the eggs, had a few build nests like this with tobbacco stalks last year and eggs rolled off and broke, will never use them again.
  14. I,m sure that is a old posting as you can have as many pads as you want, also rule 241 doesn,t mention anything about the number you can have, perhaps this is someone trying to put people off from buying ETS.
  15. Where did you get this from as I believe that it may have been from last year as I seem to have read it before, also the AGM is not until Feb 27th.
  16. Seems that 12 midday is favourable with a lot of postings.
  17. Reading some of the rubbish people put on here that are against it looks like we might be beating it for along time.
  18. So you wouldnt fancy the RPRA 1 LOFT RACE manager being a member of your club then,he clocks in every pigeon that crosses the pads, could be anything up to 170 birds.
  19. Chose mine as I have a lot of Sion birds and this one was a lot like the ones I have.
  20. All the very best Jim hope your well soon, was realy looking forward to a chat at Blackpool again, hope you will be well enough to go.
  21. I,LL take the other two Jason if thats o.k.
