  1. do you encourage them to eat towards the back end of the week
  2. i was also thinking of the hopper of beans with 25% of say layers or bos pellets in the hopper along with the beans to allow a slightly varied diet but still using a teaspoon of a gerry type mix each morning
  3. tony due to working every other weekend some times 2 out of 3 , i was looking at the beans system (i read your post previously)i do late shifts but not often earlys so i was thinking of a hopper of beans with the gerry as a morning treat,
  4. no what you mean but was thinking of feeding a teaspoon of gerry plus each morning sunday to tuesday then a soup spoon wed and thursday and say friday hopper of gerry so it would not all be just one grain.
  5. thanks thats what i was thinking of trying , do you bring the carbs forward a day as the distance goes up cheers
  6. do bean feeders (hopper) add more carbs late in the week to get them to eat more
  7. same problem i have and dont like to feed them once a day so the hopper would help
  8. does any one know maybe a member of the site how much birds fed on a hopper of beans eat per week , just wonder if the intake slowed
  9. i let my birds go in training just off the A40 beconsfield i have seen 8 red kite's in the area above me when letting the birds go but i have never had a bad toss from that spot, they seem to appear after i release the birds but just glide at first i was thinking im in for a bad toss now i dont worry , if you move more into windsor the royal park can be very dodgy to toss from lovely spot to train from but have given up on it due to the sparrow hawks in the park.
