  7. lino is fine if fitted correctly , seen plenty of good fliers use it during the summer months but , i have a deep litter in mine of hemp straw 8 months old so now mostly dried dropping , i was told by a vet if you dont have grids or can not scrape out 2-3 times a day you are better with a dry dropping method
  8. nothing wrong with lino , can be cleaned easy but i would say you need loight and vents
  9. i think beans hold 20-25% protein and 45-50% carbs most say a balance should be 15% protein the rest carbs so a mix heavy on beans with barley, wheat and maize fed a little a day is not far off the 15% as most of these grains hold 6-8% protein

  11. i think what ever you start with yb wise look to end up with a quarter at the end of raceing but with a lower number you loses should not be so high i would train them in singles from the first training toss twice then 3rd time in 3 or 4's , them move on to the next toss and start again with singleup toss, this is where you have a advantage over big team fliers,

    yp to 350 miles 1-2 a day , after 350 miles more in the ten days leading up to the marking, with sunflower, rape and dog tooth maize(if you can get it)

  24. feed barley in the morning quarter of a oz, then 1 oz feed at night of your mix , if still hungry offer a little barley.
