    barley as a base for me, with protein added during breeding and heavy road training (enforced) to get them to fly at home low protein

    corby tonic 1 tablespoon lugols 3 parrish's 3 cytacon add to make 1 pint , mix 3 tablespoons to 4 pints of water a little stronger than the previous one

  8. i think you can get the cost of corn down by adding to a general mix which may cost £10 a bag but by adding barley, wheat , pellets these should only be £5-£6 a bag so about £7 a bag of corn most supplements are not all that , and cheap ones like mollasses ,yeast etc can be used

    i will look at the book tonight and put how much of the tonice per pint you need, i dont think its much there is allso a salts tonic which is in the book again it looks like meditech sell most of this stuff, i did go to my local chemist and ask for the bits for the tonic but they never had parrish's or the other bits ,

    meditech has the full kit at £16.99 for the 4 bottles , top up to 1 pint of water and store in the fridge ,i think the book says so it should go a long way

    does any one use the tonic in the l corby book and i think it is in the loft stock book as well. 4 parts to the tonic with iron , parrish's and cytacon. and liqiud liver i think,i was reading it over the weekend did it help the birds or make no real difference

  22. owen i have read two of your recent posts and again find this one great reading i have started a deep littler system 8 months ago i had my pigeons tested and asked the vet about the loft floor and was told unless you can clean out 3-4 times a day pigeons will be healthy if left on a dry litter system, i used hemp chips and stanslen powder but now its working its self
