  1. My pair are thanks to the generosity of Westy and Snowy. They have just, this week, hatched a squab. They are lovely birds and are very calm - I can even catch them myself!! ;D
  2. LOL - great - make sure to pack all her clothes and toys - oh, and better make sure your mum and dad are ok with the swap!! ;D ;D

    Feeding ybs

Mine have as much as they want in the evening only, I let them out in the afternoon but, when I shake the tin to bring them back in they just ignore me and come back in when they want!! How do I train them to come back but not have them hungry? :-/
  4. Annie looks a real sweetie......want to swap her for a Logan?
  5. Hi Sam, I'm fine thanks and the birds..well, I've 20 now and still more to come!! ;D ;D There's a phone number in my post above - give the guy a ring - it doesn't mention Tyne and Wear but, y'never know! :) Post some piccis of your new loft when it's done....
  6. Hi Stranger - don't see you on here too often!! Here is someone Rose recommends: PHANTOM FLYER LIMITED Pigeon Courier Service Tel: 01329-664436 Mobile: 07709913131 Between 8.00am and 8.00pm 1-2 birds £18.00 3-4 birds £21.00 £2.00 for each extra bird Beds Berks Bucks Cheshire Derbys Dorset East Sussex Gloucs Hants Herefordshire Herts Leics Northants Notts Oxon Salop Somerset Staffs Warwicks West Sussex Wilts Worcs Cardiff Oswestry Leeds Liverpool Manchester Sheffield Doncaster are covered but these places are the furthest points that the courier service cover at present. I have used Amtrak a couple of times without too much problem they charge £22 for up to four birds.
  7. Coxy, try Andrew, he had some white Delbars for sale.
  8. I have white Logans but I haven't got as far as racing them yet!!
  9. You guys have too much spare time on your hands!! Me? I spend my time avidly watching my youngsters and worrying that they are going to fly and get lost!!! ;D ;D
  10. Way to go TT........what a brilliant start! :)
  11. Sorry Clockie - I can see how frustrating this must be for you. :'( Got everything crossed for you that they won't find anymore infected birds.
  12. LOL. I have to say the fantails are a darned site easier.....feed them once a day and that's it - they pretty much look after themselves, they didn't need teaching where they live and the youngsters haven't got lost yet - they just never go out of site of the loft!! ;D ;D
  13. Thanks Jimmy. I'll just have to wait till they are ready to fly themselves -Then when they do fly I won't know where they are, then I'll have something to really worry about! ;D
  14. Ooh, I think you're right guys. :B I think that, because I have so few birds, the droppings haven't been noticed. So, it's bagged and binned from now on!
  15. Our council issue compost bins - mine go in there with the grass cuttings.
  16. Sure you've got this the right way round Westy? Shouldn't it read, 'I AM ALWAYS ON HERE NOW WHEN I GET A CHANCE I POP TO SCHOOL?' LOL I have a question - I have been putting the young birds on the landing board with the sputnik closed so they have to stay out a while, they are 5 1/2 weeks old but, they don't fly or anything - just sit there until I open the sputnik, then they are in like a shot! What is the next stage? Do I just leave them to fly in their own time? :-/
  17. Great publicity again Fifer. I can't wait till I get a team together.......three youngsters so far and one chipping as I type! Patience Sue! : :
  18. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Have great day. :K)
  19. Looks like I have mealies too Linda! ;D
  20. Glad you ...... erm.... returned.
  21. Mine have a red coloured pickstone in a clay pot which they pretty much ignore. Someone told me to give Kirkpatrick's minerals and they have gone berserk for them!! Trouble is, the minerals are black and my white birds look as if they have had a bath in them!! ;D I put some conifer cuttings in with them the other day - I thought they might like them for their nests - they didn't but, they must have been eating them because I had some bright green droppings - thought I'd poisoned them! :o

Lovely photos Jimmy. What an amazing number of trophies - now there's something for the young 'uns to aspire to.
  23. I'm afraid the politics go over my head. :B Maybe an apology is needed ?? :-/ :-/ I too hope that someone is able to change Clockie's mind.
  24. Thoughts and prayers with Rachel, Owen, her family and friends. :K) :K)
  25. OMG! What sort of a world do we live in. I'd like to pluck him - and it wouldn't be his feathers I would be pulling off!! > > I hope that he has been caught and will be prosecuted.
