  1. That looks good Westy - I don't know why I thought I needed a sputnik. ;D
  2. Good luck with them.
  3. LOL Jimmy! Hey, I feel a bit better now - so it maybe wasn't my fault! I've read the article on the main site 'Dead in Shell Youngsters' and wondered if it was because I haven't been giving any baths?? I haven't put the bath in since the first youngsters in case the parents got them wet and they chilled??
  4. Thanks. Yes, I'll get some iodine and oyster shell.
  5. At what age do you stop having the food available for them the whole time? Then do you limit them the amount they eat and feed just once a day? :-/

    SPEIGHT

All the best for 2m Craig.
  7. I left my eggs till Friday - just in case I'd had yet another 'blonde moment' ( I say that because it sounds better than a 'senior moment') and written the date wrong! A friend who is an avian vet nurse opened the eggs - the chicks were at the point of hatching - yolk sac virtually absorbed but they both had oedema around the back of their head and neck. :'(

::)Yes thanks. I think I made a BIG mistake letting him and his hen have the run of the loft for two weeks before I put any more birds in! Maybe I should have kept them confined to the nest box so he didn't think the whole place was his domain!!
  9. Nah! he's delivering second class post! ;D Probably beat the Royal Mail though!

  11. Thanks guys. The ones I bought were from Mr and Mrs Clare. May be that they just look small compared to my Logans! :

Wonderful. Thanks Gez - to think I have a pair of his pigeons - thanks to you. :K) I have great hopes for them - they are mating but still no eggs. What a feisty pigeon the cock is.....I put another pair in the loft with him today and he has turned into a monster...he wont let the other cock go anywhere.......keeps attacking him and trying to drive his missis too! He's sort of taken over the whole loft and the sputnik! I hope that he doesn't harm the new birds! :-/
  13. I haven't got it here, it's with a girl in Manchester - she's ringing in the morning and hopefuly will get it back to it's owner.

    SPEIGHT

Thanks for the update Danielle. That's good to know - hope Speight is soon feeling back to normal.
  19. Symbro - a border fork is just a tool like a spade for digging in the garden - a border fork is smaller than a regular one - easier to handle now he's getting older! ;D
  20. Does anyone race Van Theelans? How do they do? A friend has just started breeding from a pair I bought for him on an auction. Quite small birds but look good.

Poor Speight. Keep your chin up lad, they'll soon get you sorted. Missing your PMs!! Sue :K)
  22. Yes, I noticed how often they showed the street pigeons. I guess they are the easiest birds to take a group photo of if you discount waterfowl!
  23. David would have liked a stainless steel border fork. He didn't get one - I didn't know until I just asked!! ;D ;D
  24. Have a great day guys. HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
