so the training starts today with a 10 mile toss from sutra hill.

a top class read have quoted this as will stand out in my mind for a long time outstanding performance over 40 years

you also get alot of widowhood lofts letting their birds go down on 2nd round then split birds the eggs just get bined. i think if you did buy eggs would it not be eggs that are just laid.as bit risky buying eggs if the chick had started to grow unless you you could get them from A to B before eggs went cold.then timing it so as the feeders had milk in their crop. our have i missed something

it is a one loft race you don,t get it right 1st time round.you do learn by the mistakes so i think it will be better run next year. that said i did not send to the s.n.f.c yb race.as i think one loft races should not be in national races put them up on their own.

don,t want to put you off doing a good job but you might find birds don,t race aswell to new loft the 1st year.wee tip lock birds in new boxes for a bit less fighting

yes birds are trained for this. birds fly at least an hour round lofts each day

we will be sending betwwen 6 to 10 .last years race was fast with the winner doing 1303 ypm

one of the birds got out stock loft lastnight 5th nov. the ring number is GB08J07522. with it being new to loft was always looking for a way out and found it. don,t have much hope of him turning up as never been out flying for 5 years.

was told tonight that race birds have been and will be shot flying over airports.the number of birds claimed to have been shot is 1200. has anyone else on hear know of this .
