well done my missus she past her driving theory test today.all going well will have my driver for trainning next year.as most of the guys i race against knows i don,t train birds very much.will be good to see how birds do properly trained.

i don,t cut the weight back that much as i like them to have a wee bit extra fat through winter.i think it helps them out a bit when we get frezzing cold nights and days .so making it a bit better and easier for them through the winter.omo

for me middle distance 200 to 400 miles.i can,t see past bussharte our van loons our bussharte x van loon.i find the birds recover quick after a hard race and some of them do a lot better after a hard race. i think with some of them that do better after a hard race is down to me not trainning birds enough .

the races we have over 200 miles.as i normaly do well at them and make up time lost at the shorter races.

sorry to hear this gareth .invest in anti vermin control. .hears mine when their not sleeping. all 5 are good with birds but kill anything that comes near birds mice rats stoats young fox not had mink yet .after reading this a wee wake up call for all 5. mink and stoats both can be killed when killing fowal birds. the 5 3 cats 2 pit bulls. keeps most vermin at bay 4 legged and 2 legged.

no idea whare their judging next but when you get good doo men to judge then i think they know what their looking for. both are members on hear so might see this and let you know.

at last i have to disagree with you . last year i put birds in the show at rosewell .i had only won i think a 4th before that show. i won a 1st 2x 2nd and a 3rd. the 1st went to a cock that was 1st fed open newark yb,s the 2nd went to cock 1st fed yb nat.the judge also explained that if he did not have a small nick in 2nd last flight he would have won class .the other 2nd went to the grand dam of the 1st 1 and dam of the 2nd. so their is some judges that can pick out race birds to be at the top of classes. the 2 judges where tiger john jamison and stevie stevie girwood.

saves me putting this up.also go out with a tub of salt on damp nights a wee touch kills them .mind and pick up the dead and pour boiling water over ground whare they died
