Peterborough is round about 255 to 265 give or take a mile or so

good returns for a lot of the fanciers. not sure of the winner yet all the best to winner and all on result . I will need to try a bit harder next year

that's a good question . some fanciers wait some don,t you get yb,s that are bred early and late both winning. yeboah said your only feeding yb,s longer before racing . a fair point and right enough .hears a question team of ybs hatched late dec rung start of jan then team of yb,s rung late feb mid march .come the 1st yb race witch is the stronger team ?. sometimes worth that bit extra seed only my opinion . the thing to watch for is the moult with natural yb,s will catch the early bred yb,s 1st. for me if you want 2/3 rounds of yb,s from stock birds breed as soon as you can. then again get it a bit wrong like I just did and you are phoning SHU for a few extra 2015 rings

I would say yes as had good results from yearlings that have been bred from . I have also let yearlings bring up other yb.s bred from proven pairs . had 1 or 2 yearling hens race well to ticking eggs . Eggs they think are hatching. I fly natural birds most middle distance only out to 430 miles

can only say it was not over 200 been a good few tough xmus races over the years through hear from 50/60/70 miles you always get some birds home.it would be the same in the west .

would be good to see a xmus race through the west.as you can see a lot of fanciers through hear take part . it is a very well run race . the race is run by danderhall rpc and full credit to them for running it for the last 22 years. it gives fanciers something to aim for with a few of their birds in winter .
