West of Scotland Championship Club ( WSCC ) The convoy of 362 pigeons have been liberated today at Hawick at 12.30pm into a light NW wind. Good luck to all.

Thanks for the picture, seems it's an only one. Found the guy on facebook via the Project Hawick page and he's been watching and photographing it for a while now. Our liberation is about a mile north and west of the town hall.

WSCC results should be available on the website Sunday afternoon. Members will recieve a text message to let them know. As Jim Savage is also our driver he's unable to publish results till he's back home. There is only one member with Benzing Live in the club so you only see one memebers times on that page. There were some good returns and good times at clocks today. Quite a few pigeons making it home this morning.

WSCC will have stray baskets at all marking stations for any strays needing taken to Ireland North or South. Scottish pigeons can be brought back as well.

Weather looks promising for a weekend race from Roscrea. Race marking will go ahead as planned tomorrow Thursday 8th June at Dumbarton, Newmains and Darvel 5.30pm until 8.30pm Entry is £5 per pigeon. First prize is £500 plus £100 to 1st yearling. Roscrea entry form Approx 240 miles to Glasgow. SW winds Could be a 50 mph race 4 to 4.5 hrs. Anyone flying in our open races MUST be a member of WSCC fee is £25 This will entitle you to fly in all 3 Irish open races. There is also a fee of £10 to non RPRA members for loft locations and measurements. Joining fee on the night is £45 WSCC Roscrea Open Race Entry Form Frequently Asked Questions Q. Do I need to join the RPRA to fly in any of the open races? A. No you can compete in any of our open races as long as you have paid the race fee and that you are a paid member of a recognised union. SHU, IHU, NEHU, WHU, RPRA, NIPA or other governing Defra body. Measurements for any of the open races however must be calculated through the RPRA in fairness to all who are competing and a fee will apply for any loft locations and measurements that are required for non RPRA members.
