I worked as a maintenance engineer at a local dairy for 20 + years which had it's own effluent plant,before any water could be drained into the local river there were several check/test and stop spots.The water was crystal clear 7 ph and probably of better quality than the river BUT to bring pigeons drinking water down to 2.8 ph and expect them to drink it is beyond me.Put a drop of the neat stuff on the back of your hand and it will take the skin off. Well behind this season,seem to have spent most of my time at doctors or hospital,(been there most of today),managed to get young birds moved off the race birds,but old birds not parted yet,would usually have had four or five tosses by now,have had none,snowed on and off most of today and seriously cold,wind now in the NE so we are in for a week or so of cold air. The seasons have changed compared to years ago and racing starts at least three week too soon.But who am I ?
