Angus/Dundee 9.45 at Ripon. Light South East Wind
  7. I have just spoken to the RPRA as Angus & Dundee are due to go to Ripon on Saturday. There is a limit to the number of transporters allowed on the site. It has been confirmed to me that we are ok as are Lanarkshire and East of Scotland and 3 English organisations. I hope this clears up any confusion.

  16. The government minister will be interpreting the guidance issued by her masters as she sees it. The SHU can only pass on what she tells them. If members choose to interpret the advice in a different way that is their choice. I can travel half a mile to put my pigeons in a training vehicle. Others can do the same quite easily while complying with the social distance and hygiene advice. The training vehicle which has been hired can then travel anywhere (Nicola said 5 miles is only advice) to release the pigeons. Nicola also said she would treat us as grown ups and that we would have to use our own judgement during the easing of the lockdown. I could give various examples of golfers, anglers and members of the public travelling far in excess of 5 miles over the past week as well as hundreds on beaches etc. There is far too much negativity and nit picking on this site.
  17. That’s the problem. The governing bodies don’t know what is acceptable as the government minister won’t tell them. Gordon Turnbull issued a statement to federation secretaries yesterday which would clear up a lot of the unjustified criticism he has received. I thought Archie would have been asked to put it on here. As Glen Cameron said on another thread it is all down to interpretation. In my opinion 15 fanciers travelling half a mile to put trainers on a truck for a 50 mile toss is less risk than 15 fanciers travelling 20 miles in their cars for a toss. The government minister who is responsible for our situation happens to be my MSP. I have emailed her twice in the last 4 days. Still waiting for a reply. Has anyone else contacted their MSP?

Maidstone 18th July and Gold Cup 31st July or 1st August. Remember if we don’t get racing until 20th June fanciers in Aberdeen and North won’t be across the border before first Saturday in July
  19. I have 3 emails. Club secretary, federation secretary and as a member. I know other members also have emails.
  20. I agree Andy. And fanciers training pigeons when they shouldn’t will not do our case any good.
