  1. billy and gulkie 100 per cent apart from the adenovirus its our biggest problem billy opened my eyes to that and its even worse now be cause when birds are being attacted by adeno the secondary infections are rife and canker is the most prevalent anyone who is winning consistenly with pigeons is treating there are some who will deny it because they dont want you to know and thereare those thatsay i neaver use anything but are not at the top consistently
  2. whats it about m8
  3. ah think i know what your asking if you yb get it before there jagged your old birds have been in the basket with birds that have it and you carry it in to them on feet and clothes m8 derek when para first came out to show us how easy it spread they got a fancier who had para in his loft to sit across atable from another fancier and talked for five min after the five min a guy from the maff swabed the 2nd fanciers nostril and he had the virus in his nostril and they neaver even touched thats what were dealing with hear m8
  4. true m8 lots of clubs dont even ask for your vaccination sheet any more to much hassle now
  5. anthony thankyou if the new starts do it right and know the pit falls maybe we can get the old heads to follow suit m8 this is the way we were told to do it when para myxo first came out every one took there birds to the club house or your club officials came to your loft and everyones birds were done within a week or two and there was no such thing as ybs that only came because we got lazy and started jagging to suit the fancier and not respecting the rules of what we were dealing with m8 ybs is a man made problem i know men that jagged there yb on friday aft noon and put them in the race basket that night
  6. if you are talking about when i gave it to the ybs the 1st year i noticed there was a problem it was because nifurmycin had not been invented all you had was oramycin or teramycin and both are good broad spectrum antibiotics when you dont know what your dealing with novo
  7. idont know what you mean novo can you explain a bit more i know nothing about darkness m8
  8. you know yer welcome anytime m8 just bell me let me know in case im having sex or something lol thankyou sir
  9. thankyou ian and pigeon basics and to andy burgess for wanting to know my views on it lets hope it is taken in and used for the good of our sport and bannish ybs and adenovirus for good
  10. sorry andy did not see it was your 2nd round i jag 1st round with the old birds leave the wee ones till 2 weeks before training m8
  11. your very wellcome andy
  12. not really andy its just that you dont want to be jagging yb when ob are still racing so depens if your going to all the national races if you are dont let the yb out for a week or two after vaccinating them so there not near the old birds and change your shoes between lofts or the wee plastic pull overs so you dont carry it on you
  13. id jag my old birds sap and forget about yb till two weeks before you start training them for this year andy m8 and set out aplan for next year
  14. thankyou ian for doingthat nobilis gave me the same information i do not make statements without checking my facts 1st and i dont lie every thing i have said here was learned by trial and error as for the adnovirus no 2 that the old birdsget from vaccinated young birds that was confirm to me by two dutch vets i spoke to on pipa this can be checked to i know the open vaccine bottle is a shock to all who do it but it had to be said as i see it as part of a very widespread misunderstanding on the part of the fancy as there yb may not be getting any protection by vaccinating this way and some guys dont like to admit they were wrong even if its helping them theres no shame in being wrong i was wrong my self once lol
  15. hi guys i can see by som e of the reactions out there lots of you would not be happy to hear me say jagging birds in or from the nest could be a problem revalidity of life span of vaccine once bottle is opened but as i did this myself and still got problems with ybs i thought i should make you aware of it incase you were getting an odd yb sick and wondered why well that could be the reason but that hurts no one but youselve if im correct because by by jagging your ybs every few weeks or months you are continully exposing your birds to the virus which is up to you what is much more important is that no one vaccinates any birds from two weeks before your vaccinated birds or birds that have been near vaccinated birds go in a training van or race as they are still carrying the virus which affects everyone your birds come into contact with and the chain reaction starts all over again what your old birds are getting from being in contact with vaccinated yb is adenovirus 2 yb get adenovirus 1 there is no cure for any of them the no 2 virus is not a killer your old birds go off form and are listliss dont want fly and when they do fly round loft or train they sometimes pant or gape as it affects there respitory system they struggle to get a breath when asked to do any work hence the heavy losses when racing or hard training stop them or you will lose them 2 to 3 weeks and they come threw it on there own like humans its worse in some than others some handle it and recover fast some just cant handle it and dont even want to come out the loft just to go back to vaccination before i finnish off about it being safer to only jag once this is the way i look at it if i go to work every day and one day the guy next to me has the cold im working with him all day there is a good chance i get it and after a few days or week we will both get better and be cold free the rest of the year but if the boss keeps changing the guy i work with with guys who have the cold im going to keep getting it all year same with continul jagging not rocket science bye the noo
  16. everyone thats short of money m8
  17. your loft looks class m8 allways liked a veranda on a loft good luck with it
  18. the nhs has gone down the drain m8 hope the wee mans ok
  19. glad you like it thanks m8
  20. if remember right a one loft was wiped out because of it a few years ago and i allso think this was what happen in wales as all th simtoms are the same m8 wonder what the welsh lads will think of my post
  21. im not judgeing the way its done peter only that no one should jag when training starts till old birds finnish and same with ybs or the cycle starts all over again and infects us all m8
  22. the idea m8 is for no one to be jagging birds a month before the racing starts so the virus has run its course before people start training and to let it run through your own loft and your birds have time to recover from it and wait till you have the majority of your yb but no later than two weeks before you put them in a training van or race and jag any ybs that are old enough a long with your old birds i have jagged them at 10 days old in the nest to
