  1. guys imo you are not giving any justice sending latebreds that have only had five or six tosses ive been doing well with them for the last 4 years winning out to inland national level as 2year olds i would not send a young bird team that had only five tosses so why do it with latebreds mine have 6 to 8 tosses the year they are born any half decent day right up to december i dont go far 12 to 20 miles then out every day in winter i start them again in early feb and they get at the very least 20 12 to 20 mile tosses then into the training van to learn to break from other birds for the 7 to 10 days before the first race i had 42 birds at the race 22 were late breds all 42 home in 35 40 mins the secret with latebreds i think is repation lots of short tosses treat them like youngbirds after all they are only babies 4or5 races and stop them and let them mature and they will do you a turn if they are bred from good birds of course

  7. picked up my best racing hen this morning she has 2 first clubs 2 first section fed and scored in both inland nationals last year she has broken her end flight right at the stump and its festered into a small tumour i removed the tumour and the broken flight stump it bled like a sheep dont think she will race this year and maybe never again shes a 5 year old latebred this year and had great hopes for her this season she is the daughter of my spin hen and the direct son of de vale barcelona only up side is she breeds winners but i have plenty good breeders sick as a parrot shes won over a grand in pools and was my banker for ypres if id noticed it sooner i could have fixed it need to handle my birds more often another hard lesson
