no one can garntee to breed you winners imo and a pedegree is only as true as the man who writes it i think i have some of the best breeding stock birds in scotland just now but i could not garntee the youngbirds off them could or would win for someone else as for one they dont breed winners in every nest why do you think i breed 14 to 18 off each pair every year if i get one or two winners off them in a season im happy also the guy that buys them may treat them very different from me and do nothing with them all i can garntee is they are off my best and bred for the job then its up to guy that buys them to get the best out of them and yes if the money is right ill sell yb off my best breeders but i would never sell the birds that breed them unless i was packing in or in real trouble and was forced to you buy what you fancy and what you can afford simple as that but if your not prepaired to put the same or more work into them as the guy you bought them from then your wasting your money and your time some fanciers think if they can afford to buy the best bloodlines going around that they must win im afraid this is not so in pigeons horses or even dogs yes you will have the winning bloodlines but its you that makes them win jmo for what its worth

so i will start there training this week along with jims if the weather holds for us hopefully most of the bop will have moved on to there winter hunting grounds and we get a break with them if we get 8 to 12 tosses from 12 miles then 4 from 20 miles ill be happy and it will stand them in good stead for next season then they will be out everyday to range all over the sky in all weathers till i start training them again early feb and see if we can get jim a ticket in the club in his first year racing his loft is finnished and looking good we got a cage rigged up yesterday so his new birds can get out and look around before he pairs them in december or jan to get them broke most are yearlings that have not had a nest so hopeing most will stay with him to have a bit of fun with and ive told him to use them as feeders for his louella birds then let them out on there second nest so if they dont stay least they have done a wee job for him keep you all posted how the training goes as ive found in past years sometimes the bop move away and sometimes they dont like many things in pigeons a lot of luck involved

going over to vacinate and canker the new birds jim got from the guy he bought the loft from i picked out 9 pair for him 16 yearlings one 2year old and an old stock cock i liked the birds had been neglected due to the guy working away all the time but if there paired up and broken they will give jim something to play with and gain experience in the coming season along with his wee team of late breds its been a hard slog for us both as we are both not fit for it ive been over every morning before going to work for a few hours and he has been working at it all day just a few perches to cut to size for the last section then paint the outside and emultion inside and its done just to get three sputnics when he has the money and its all sorted im getting a kick out of helping to make someones dream come true of having his own loft and team of pigeons and he is such a nice guy hope he has many years of enjoyment from them as i have its great to help someone thats so keen his wife and daughter are going to paint the inside today now theres devotion for you long may it last lol
