  1. ive heard fishing hooks are good at the right height

  3. i never split them and whenit got mild they started mating so i put the nest pans in with intensions to put plastic eggs under but someone told me they would be ok but im starting to worry now as i havent kept birds for long
  4. just wondering i have a pair on eggs and the weathers minus 12 there due to hatch in a weak and half should i be putting a heater in the loft as i don't want the young to die in the nest or will a well sealed nest box with plenty of straw and enough room for mother /father to get in be enough opinions please .

  9. i think a hawk will target one that stands out the most ie a white flying with loads blue's or the weakiest flyer only my opinion

  14. to be honest the sheds not too good bought it last year and didn't know shiplap isn't too good i think i will scrap it treat birds and start again i do have high and low ventilation 100cm2 at both sides and another 100cm2 at the top at the front thats where rain sometimes comes in
  15. possibly a little from when it rains the right direction but not all the time im buying a bigger shed to keep them in in the next few months as i dont want to be overcrowded when i breed my self some younguns so would you recommend me treating them or letting them pull through and give them something better to live in i have only 7 birds in a 4 x 6 loft would you say i am a bit overcrowded or ok
  16. pigeons sound a bit weezy around the nostills is this anything to worry about .I have looked down there throat couldn't see anything out of the ordinary .Birds havent been flying too well .But i put this down to been locked up all weak and let out on the weakends without a good regular pattern .Ichave had one pigeon with greasy wattles and noticed every now and again snot near the nostills .

  19. I too having been training late breds and training well in saying that its down to luck wether a hawk gets them or skatters them

  25. i have bread some pied meally's off a van reet cock last yr but the hen is a yellow kirkpatric if there anygood to you i will breed you a pair for free upto you.
