to be honest there isn't allot about pigeons they just show a quick flash of the nest boxes and then say there droppings where found to be six inches deep in some area's .
He said it was a short race he used for a trainer for the channel but the way he described it sounds like they might have clashed with another race .I wont be breading from this pigeon just giving it a safe home .He was willing to pay for it collecting .
He says it could be some sort of jansen cross as he said most of his jansen type ones were pied was but it sounds like he just thought a good bird was a good bird .It looks like it was wired as i can still see new feathers growing up under its crop .
Picked this pigeon up the other day while feeding the ducks at a lake with kids owner informed and we have arranged for me to look after the bird because he has quite the sport i dont race so not too fussed about it been a super pigeon but i do like the look of this hen .
Just a thought but allot of top fanciers say buy the best you can from a winning loft when you start out .So if i was racing thats what i would endeavour to do but if not racing or not too serious like myself i just get the pretty ones lol
i dont know how he can go on about plastic eggs when most house hold pets never go out and never rear young ,pigeon racing is an easy target there are the bad examples but thats the same in every sport and everything in life.
as soon as there eating them selves before they are strong on the wing l put them on the landing board and when i let them in put them though the bobs shaking my tin .with the food waiting inside .i do this this everyday when stronger birds have cleared off.i dont rush them to fly i like them to have a good look about on the roof for a few days first
