  3. its not hard to build yourself but the cost of timber is ridicularse a company will by in bulk it may be cheaper to have one built
  4. I live in a new build an am very overlooked i have a little 4x6 loft and purchased mainly different coloured birds so the nieghbours would think they are nice to look at havent had a problem yet and had them in over a yr now just get them straight in on the tin if they are being a nuisanse
  5. new to the sport i found a pigeon reported it never got an call back so kept it if someone reports a bird i think it is coutiouse to ring back but more fool the reall owner as this bird is the first bird back in the loft whenever i train it and when i call it in . ireport all strays and had some gentlemen of the sport pick them up and give me advice and offer me some youngbirds

  8. being new to the sport this year l bought two youngsters from doncaster spring show l have a few over pigeons which i aquired elsewhere anyway l have my first youngsters in the next really excited big thanks to kirky who i got the yellow hen off as she it is her youngstera in the nest right now she paired to a silver meally which i bought on the same day

  10. Yes your right l too am a gas engineer for local authoriatory and i have also seen some work they carry out if i did work like that i would get the sack plus they also charge 800 pounds just for a power flush disguisting.They can get away with it cos people trust them .
  11. congratualtions not as much time for young bird racing but a few years you might have a helper my daughter is nearly two and she loves helping with the pigeons hopefully younger soon will too enjoy
  12. thnx for that yes it is a meally cock to a yellow hen so its pot luck really giving the youngsters to the father in law as he only has all blues so will be interesting to see what comes out thnx for replies
  13. I have an ash red and a yellow paired up anyone got an idea what i will get tried but dont have a clue
  14. I started traing mine this weak one toss a two miles one at 5 and up to ten today all gone well so far
  15. dont they understand a pigeon has a deep love for home and keeping it from home could cause it more stress meening they are being cruel by keeping it .Also if released with wild pigeons could be seen as vermon and killed that way.There are some giving us bad names but thats same in all sports .

Like the title says but these bird all go off together come back together but ones missing this has happened twice this week birds only let out on an evening 5 oclock i only had 6 birds now down to four could it be hawks ? these birds having been ranging and have been seen flying with the father inlaws birds 8 mile away and found home ok
  20. im in the same boat not so many missing theve been out since 9:30 some broke off and come back

  24. hi when cleening loft out today i noticed some orange droppings could be sick not sugre there are some green droppings slimmey but not too watery then i see one of my pigeons on the landing board gippin then not eating when i her in.Any advise would be welcome i dont want to treat for the wrong things.
