  8. Harry if i want to join i will thank you very much for the offer you have fairly changed from the man i new you seem very bitter may be its age catching up but bitterness solves nothing Harry but not to worry if i see you in Blackpool i will still offer to buy you a pint and have a news with you take care and a merry xmas to you cheers
  9. guys what ever happened in the past is where it is in the past weather it was SHU-or the SNFC that caused the problem the members are the only ones that can solve this problem 2 nat is not the answer look around at the clubs the membership is in decline look at the ave age of the fanciers if everyone is not careful there will end up no NAT and the home of true long dist racing will be gone and what goes has a habit of not returning before its too late get together and find a solution that suits all

  20. due to ill health one of the top flyers in the Newcastle area will hold the first of a 2 part entire clearence sale on SATURDAY 13th DECEMBER 2nd part MONDAY 15th DECEMBER it is a sad day for the sport in general to lose fanciers of the caliber of JOHN McKEOWN i flew against john in 70-71 in the old coxslodge club long before it split into the 2 clubs it is now and have been friends ever since John has put up some fantastic performances over the years achiving 1st UNC BORGUES 2 year ago and this his last season is top man TYNE to TWEED check this weeks BHW for details make no mistake no birds have left the loft they are all to be auctioned inclusive of the combine winner if any one from basics is going to the sale i would advise them to speak to Davie Rutherford who will introduce you to John for any advice on the birds over the years John has gifted birds to fanciers that have went on to prove their worth winning and breeding he always helped new and old fanciers the same i wish John well and hopefully next time i am down Newcastle will meet up to have laugh and a chat last thing i can say is John leaves the sport at the top where he has been for many years good luck old friend hope to see you soon cheers Alan

long before the bushys came into this country other belg birds where racing here and winning out of turn apart from the bushys the north of England was the hot bed for the vandys who won all before them in fact over 25 years ago i remember reading an interview with one of the best fanciers in the NE he was asked if he had any regrets in pigeons his reply was yes i got rid of the vandys i should have crossed them with the bushys i am not sure which brother it was but the partnership was ALI BROS cheers Alan
