My widowhood loft.

As a Scot who has lived in England for 25 years i think that this site is great,i have got talking to many friends back home because of this site.Long may it continue.

Shaun i think that there are 3 different race points Sandhutton is 4 miles South of Northallerton ,Bubwith is 44 miles ,so it wouldnt have been your pigeons going over Northallerton ayt that time.I will wait till lunctime to train my birds as i dont want to get caught up with the Up north young birds.

Sorry should have been 8-53 i take it that they were liberated at Sandhutton.

Some of them must be up as at 9-53 there were thousands of pigeons going over Northallerton

Mick In reply to your question i dont think that being a good flyer makes a man a good person,in this life there are all sorts of people good and bad.you cnnot stereotype a person because he flys a good pigeon or he flys a bad pigeon.Just look at the amount of good people who helped you out when you had your cancer sale.The reason that you bother mate is in this game you meet more good than bad,and every once in while you come across a gem like me pmsl.

Gareth I was round at our Secys this morning,the Durham Combine were at Clermont yesterday 380 miles to me,he had 50 yearlings away and had only 10 back at 12-00 today.

Gareth Our Bourges race was flown on the 18th June,it was won by a great bird flying 587 miles to Mr and Mrs Crosby .It was a real hard race woth one Fed having no birds back in race time.The birdage was 2011.I never sent as we had a real stinker from Clermont with many birds missing.

Took the young birds a toss at 7-00 this morning,will take them again this afternoon.

Only the fittest birds would have faced the weather yesterday,here in North Yorkshire we had 30 mph West north west winds which would have forced a lot of birds over to the coast.I hope that your birds make it home today as it is still breezy but a better day.

Alan it will be a stern test for the Doos ,they will have to be fit ,best of luck
