Gareth i dont disagree with you but it will never happen if you look at our own sport we could ask for a maximum £50 price to be put on a bird but again it will never happen because people are prepared to pay top dollar for what they percieve to be the best.I thought todays match was dire but Walters tatics were set out to not lose rather than win .

I done a talk to two local schools last term the Rpra will supply you with a pack containing books,Leaflets,pens,posters,balloons etc.I took two old birds and a squeaker and a clock prize cards ,rubbers.It was supposed to be part of their history lesson and we talked about the role played by pigeons in World War11 we then got onto racing and pigeons in general.Dont worry about what to say as once you start the kids and teachers will bombard you with questions .My session was supposed to last half an hour and we were still talking after an hour and a half.You will really enjoy it so just relax and be yourself.

Your birds will tell you how good it is when you put some down for them.

I bought a son from Dokus and a son from Hard Luck and 2 Grand Daughters of De 16 at the time but i sold them later on to Willie Tallis from Blantyre in Scotland so i dont have the pedigrees.

I handled him in 1987 at Foutainhead and i think he was 11 at the time although i am not 100% certain i do know that a young bird off him was £500 then.

The best pigeon i ever handled was Fountainheads De 16

Lewadebob The RPRA will provide you with a pack containing all sorts eg pens, balloons, posters,booklets.I had 2 off them last term as i work part time as a school care taker.Dont worry about what to talk about as mine started about the role that pigeons played in World War 2 and ended up about Racing Breediing and all sorts.I took a couple of Squeakers and a couple of old birds with me and a talk that was supposed to last half an hour went on for over 2 hours.The kids will bombard you with questions as will the teachers just enjoy yourself.

I always buy of racing lofts or studs who race. I would never buy on pedigree alone of non racing stock.
