  8. Stb I had the birds of Wilson in 1983, i bought 3 late breds and he gifted me 2 eggs which both hatched,i was lucky that the pied cock turned out to be such a good breeder but as i said i crossed him with a Robert Nisbet hen as i also bought 6 late breds of robert at the same time.Sometime they click sometmes they dont.

  11. Stb did i meet you at Doncaster with Alf and Karl Kelly as there were that many lads there i forget some of there names.
  12. The Pied cock i had of Wilson Noble crossed with a Robert Nisbet hen bred the JPS and the Seven cock for Stirling Bros of Burnbank both scored prominent positions in the Snfc he also bred The Stirling cock for Jock Alston who i believe won a Gold Award although i may be wrong about that but he did score good positions for Jock as i know that he gave my brother in law a framed photograph of him.
  13. Bhoys and Bears it only my opinion,Stb like everything else it depends on the bloodlines and how they adapt,in his day Wilson Noble was one of the best flyers in the SNFC imo. Jonesbhoy i accept your opinion but to say its a fact you would have to back that up with evidence.
  14. Walter I am originally from Burnbank ,Hamilton before i left i bought birds of Wilson And Robert Nisbet then of Pencaitland.I always believed and still do that the best fliers in the SNFC lived in the North East my reckoning was if you lads could get them up there then i should be able to get them in to Lanarkshire.
  15. Walter time flies i had the birds of Wilson in 1983 and i moved to England in 1985,if i remember correctly there was a lot of the Steptoe lines in them.
  16. Thanks Walter thats a great compliment coming from a fancier with your record at the distance over the years. Is Wilson Noble still living as i had some great birds off him when i lived in Scotland one in particular off Sir Lancelot bred some great channel pigeons for my Brother in laws.
