  1. Our club require a new laptop but before buying I wanted to check that windows 8 is compatible with our Unikon profi clocks which we manage with eastcoast software. Is anyone running their unikon as above?
  2. 100% correct John.... If the SNFC decided to go to barcelona I would prepare a doo for the race.... Dont know what distance that would be but I would give it a crack. The problem is that too many fanciers are scared to lose a decent doo!!! I cannot believe the birdage at the SNFC longest race especially when i see fanciers on this site promoting it but yet do not send!!!! expletive remove you guys are moaning about the inland nationals being a sprint yet i find myself agreeing with you although it is over 400 mls to us. Get a FCKN Grip!!! All this bu**s$it that its easy in the north!!!? Haha.... So what how many of you guys would have a team to compete in 6 national races from 420 to over 700 miles!!!! I know there would be the odd one or two and i could name them now!!! IF YOU WANT TO PROMOTE LONG DISTANCE RACING SEND TO THE LONGEST RACE!!!!
  3. North sea tigers!!! Those were the days We must've been aff oor heeds!!
  4. Tried to post photos but made a pigs ear of it
  5. A quick photo of our club trophies ready for presentation
  6. Felt like I needed one yesterday It was a great night though. Thanks again to Williedoo and Wendy.
  7. Totally agree. I havent missed a race for at least 6 years, fed or national. I keep racing pigeons to race. If there was a race on and i had no birds away i would be climbing the walls. I race around 60-70 old birds and they all have around 6 or 7 races a season. I always end up with around half my old bird team left and the same for young birds. No substitute for experience.
  8. Avoid them all if you value yer life Only jesting, robbiedoo will keep you right
  9. Just seen this Derek, hope he is gonna b okay. All the best
  10. We went by train, so managed to cat nap all the way back. Round trip would be around 340 mls or thereabouts
  11. Just arrived home from the presentation and had a fantastic night, great banter and people. Hangover wearing off now
  12. Sad news. R.I.P. johnny Condolences to Mary and the family
  13. You tell em Alex!! I'll be on the phone tomorrow to pickle yer brain
  14. 3days spent on this one so far! But still managed to take latebreds for their 2nd toss today at 8 mls This is a 10 plate VW Tiguan just bought by a mate, previous owners had an automatic carwash fetish
  15. Worth a look. Pretty good by the Subsea 7 guys!!
  16. I would agree. First class post from jamie. Cant understand why so many choose not to go to the longest race. From Tours we fly 708mls into Peterhead and most of our club members who fly in the national will send to Tours. IMHO 600 miles and above is true long distance. Too many fanciers doubt the ability of their birds but if you dont send you wont win. I havent missed a national race for at least 5 or 6 years and many times havent clocked in, but at the same time have had a good few thrills along the way. Failing to time in is no disgrace as it happens to most. You just have to pick yourself up and try again. So come on guys give the longest race a go!!
  17. 61 old birds plus i also have 18 summer bred ybs and 24 stock birds I only have the summer bred ybs due to the way yb losses were going but returns improved so therefore i now have too many but these summer bred ones are now in training and will be trained hard on good days over the next month or two.
