  2. Well two races I've been training , now stopped , split birds yesterday hens as keen as mustard to trap back to their old section where cocks are . As soon as let out were bombing other section to get back in , so got me golf flag out , now their bombing around loft , cocks moved over to hen section awaiting hens in flag outside traps will be removed when want them in.

Melton Mowbray 18th April 2015 14 members sent 260 birds Wind North Easterly 1st R & P Midgley Vel 1281 2nd R & P Midgley Vel 1277 3rd R & P Midgley Vel 1270 4th R & P Midgley Vel 1263 Taking the first 5 this week Pete & Paul Midgley flying under their late fathers name , 1st a yearling Slatey cock 2nd 2 year old Chequer cock this cock should of had 2 firsts beaten on trap both weeks,3rd 2 year old blue cock 4th a yearling blue cock , 1st 3rd and 4th all Marsay and Taylor and Robinson of Great Ayton from own winning family 2nd was via Mrs & Mrs Beswick of Filey , So 2 races and 2 on the trot for this partnership well done . Most members having good returns with one or two missing at clock reading .

Newark 11 April 2015 Strong westerly wind 14 members sending 284 birds R & P Midgley 1st 4 places 81 miles 534 yards velocity 1551, 1550, 1520.3 1520.1 Pete and Paul flying under their late father Reg's name ,first Bird was via Mrs & Mr Beswick of Filey , second third and fourth All via birds of Marsay Taylor and Robinson of Great Ayton birds from own winning family . Their first bird was one of these but problems with high wins meant it came in second .Most members have 1's missing at result time . A great race to start the season ,well done Team East Coast.   20. It was the noise from the guns going off that was frightening the pigeons when libbing apparently , so they stopped libbing for a while but are now carrying on. That's coming from the convoyer on site !!!
