Welcome to pigeon Basics am sure you'l get used to it -
from my experience a young bird that's not trained or raced in first year of life tend to be crap , birds sent to race with no training tend to circle the liberation site and many don't leave . One of our members did just that and had birds reported not far from site many just went straight to the buildings close by think he may of had 4 or 5 back . Yearlings that aren't trained also just circle at liberation site . A bit of training schools them and am sure that all the effort time and money you invest in your team throwing them away first time doesn't help your future team one bit

have a look on chevita.com a dropping wont come out dry , secondly the heat in a dropping attracts humidity , but the quicker it dries out the better Droppings will differ from what your feeding Wet dropping aren't good
