  1. thanks , and thanks to all the members for the support and kind wishes This has been my hardest decision to pack up it's been on the cards a while I kept plodding on was hoping to have a few more seasons at least , quiet a few yearlings all flown up to 345 miles that were to be put away for the 400 and 500 mile races next year , waiting to hear from a few getting back to me top posts will be amended when the lots change . kind regards Mark

  7. It's come to that day I'd tried to dodge for so long , but it's here and don't want to have struggle anymore to be honest my legs just aint holding me and lost near a stone recently

Could of had a cyst or something similar as these can explode , but never heard of a pigeon exploding , rodent perhaps or did it catch itself on something in the loft or just rip as stood very strange indeed nearly to the point of been unbelievable , had a hen once that had a prolapse womb and insides came out , but no rip .....

Was first young bird out of this stock pair last year. Second gift bird from good friend Nathan Hoggard flown on double widowhood , Bob tyson was a Jan Aarden via club mate Ricky and Tony Sargeant on widowhood , and Mr & Mrs Lawton's was via their own winning family of birds previous multiple card winner
  16. By it's a grand day out there , seen my first 5 birds heading south , got my 21 birds to Boves 326 miles liberated at 5 45 in a light Westerly wind ( turned south so am told ), Lincs fed with 4 other federations around 3,500 birds , good luck to you all

All via birds of Marsay Taylor and Robinson of Great Ayton 2nd one been direct from own winning family .All previous won or carded all yearling blues apart from the 2nd one which is a 2 year old all flown on widowhood , Pete catches some in another section hence the joint 3rd . These birds all go back to National 1 hen the father is 13 years old and still fertile .Most members have 1's and 2's missing at result time . A great race well done Team East Coast.

Battle 16th May 2015 15 members sent 244 birds Wind North West 1st R & P Midgley Vel 1264 2nd R & P Midgley Vel 1253.4 2nd R & P Midgley Vel 1253.0 4th Mr & Mrs Lawton Vel 1244 Taking the first three this week Pete & Paul Midgley flying under their late fathers name. Flying on widowhood , First a yearling old Chequer White Flight cock , second and third two year old Chequer cock the third having won two seconds which should have had two firsts but beaten on the trap , making this three wins on the trot,all Marsay Taylor and Robinson of Great Ayton From their own winning family the second one been direct. . Fourth Mr & Mrs Lawton with a blue 2 year old Widowhood cock won a couple of races plus many minor cards from his own winning family . Well done all , with the crueling wind and the real first test of the season many reported many adrift at clock reading , been up later in the day didn't help them much either most reporting birds coming back out of the north .
