  1. Hi mate How did you season go did the birds do any good for you?? Thanks John
  2. If you look on my web site my race loft is on the home page. link is at bottom of my posts
  3. I would say 200- 400 miles
  4. Sprint - SVR Middle - Gabys Long - Biss Ron Williamson birds seem to do sprint - middle distance very well just depends how you feed them. i have not pushed them past 300 miles yet but think i will get them out to 500 without any probs
  5. well done mate
  6. I did not send NFC but did send L&SECC on same day i sent 13 and have 7 back speaking to people around here the NFC returns were much the same with only the odd bird back since early Sunday morning.
  7. Do you then repair them Chris or do you race them separated from then on
  8. Think you might have the wrong 1 loft race it was Andy Galley the former owner of Pigeon chat that ripped everyone off and did not pay up last year in his one loft race.
  9. Well done mate and a good job you done as well mate
  10. How many do Louella bred every year 10,000 + how many national winners each year come from them from what i see in the book's web site not that many.
  11. As Strapper said do some digging on him - This type of thing happened to a club mate of mine and he went a round and said if my birds end up going so will you caravan you like to use most weekends as it says in the deeds no caravans or boats just after it says no birds to be kept in the garden. funny enough they both agreed to call a truce
  12. I do not seem to agree with the rest of you on this, If i have read this right this lad is going straght to the transporter and giving the driver a drink to take his birds. If everyone done this there would soon be no club/fed etc just a guy with a lorry taking everyones money.
  13. Gabys make a good cross with the bussheart
  14. Thw 3 main things in mind when we look at new family of pigeons is firstly they must be from someone who is winning in good competition for a number of years. Secondly and probably most important is there are winning for others in many areas. And thirdly they were winning the types of races and over the same type of terrain as ours would have to race over. John
  15. First thing the birds can not be that bad if they are beating you home fro 50 mile they would get home from 100 even if they are late. were they all in 1 crate maybe it did not open and is still on transporter i have seen a couple of threads were this has happened before to people. if others had decent returns the only other explanation must be illness most likely Yong bird sickness which ahs come on whilst in baskets it is easy to miss if you do not have y/b's out on Friday as normal first sign is not trapping etc from exercise. Just some ideas i hope some work back for you mate John
  16. No Rose but a young lad from Heathrow area has one the y/b race Dean Garrett and a club mate of mine has won the old hens he was in at 17.07 flying 212 miles John
  17. 24 from 26 from Lyndhurst 15 from 20 y/b's from Gurnsey but very strange only 1 from 3 old hens also from Gurnsey best 2 hens missing
  18. That sounds better mate - Some times we all get the hump and blame the birds when more often then not the reason is closer to home
  19. 48 from 50 from Poole 128 mile
  20. Yes been early this morning libbed at 6 o,clock for a 40 mile spin, all but 2 back in 42 minutes 1 of the 2 came back just before i left for work at 7.30 with a gash right down it's front and hopping on 1 leg so must have hit the wires. So just hope the other 1 is still a live as it is one i fancied.
  21. 47 from 47
  22. A great race sent 47 and got 47 had 7 come together to take first 6 in my section 1hour 55 min for 109 miles
  23. Not many for me at the moment 7 or 8 most of which were short spins a few weeks ago, but did jump them upto 40 mile yesterday and they come ok. I just can not get motivated with the birds at moment, there is to much other sh*t going on with work, home life and to top it all arguments in my club, other then the 3 races i missed last year due to moving house, last week was the first time i have not sent in 8 years. John
  24. Well done Albear, A very good cause that needs supporting, to help save pigeon racing as we know it John
  25. Hi Andy - Was this in 2004 ? if so i brought the same as you a couple of M&D Gabys and 2 Kuwait birds and had the opposite result Kuwait were rubbish and M&D ones have been very good. strange how things work out some times John
