  1. the secy address is on the race programme so as vice president i dont think i am speaking out of turn in saying that the sooner proposals come in the better
  2. it can only be good for the federation that already we have at least one person coming forward for this most difficult of jobs, the sooner the proposal reaches the secy then the better for all, proposals can be forwarded as of now so the sooner the better
  3. most thankless job in pigeon racing!!! so heres a BIG THANK YOU from all in the Keith r.p.c :emoticon-0137-clapping:

  7. well done the race controller
  8. well said robbie !!
  9. just wish to respectfully point out that lord lucan and shergar are not suitable as your proposer and seconder as they are not and have never been members of our fed. p.s. the tooth fairy dont count either :crying:
  10. just a friendly reminder :emoticon-0136-giggle: you need a proposer and a seconder(good luck wi that one) and think application has to be in by mid october :crying:
  11. being devils advocate here but nowadays nobodys seems to claim that their bird has been wired only ever hawked, the peregrine is having a large effect on pigeon racing but not convinced it is the only factor
  12. surely there are a lot less fanciers and a lot less birds being raced than before, and if so then why are there more peregrines than ever ?
  13. its not me who is shouting !! do you believe that they are responsible for all the erratic racing ?
  14. do you think we will need a separate queue for all the keyboard warriors ???
  15. if you believe that the peregrine is the only reason we are getting such erratic racing then he has a point, i dont think the peregrine is the only problem , in our area there is a peregrine nest no more than one mile from 3 different lofts and has been for at least the last 12 years. They are not as good at catching birds as some would have you believe having most success when hunting in pairs. My ybs were attacked upon liberation when training once this year and three times last year but did not scatter as many have experienced but cleared the site double quick and got home, one theory is that because seeing a peregrine was no great shock to them they did not panic as they might have done but instead just cleared asap. it is too late now as they are everywhere and i believe we just have to accept their presence and get on with it !!
  16. well done mr reid
  17. HARRY DONT WAIT UNTIL YOU TIME BEFORE CALLING AS HE GOES TO BED BY 10PM
  18. some excellent flying times given the strength of the west wind
  19. would buy some butteries but ed has nae enough teeth
  20. not sure i agree with you george, the season is short enough with only 20 races in total so if we only have 7 yb races it is down to only 18. As i see it yb racing is for education with the main thing being returns and the more experience that can be gained the better, it is usually the same guys who have their birds ready in time each year so we would be penalising them to favour those who are not. Seven races only could be awkward if the weather was poor in the first two or three, while the east section birdage can be affected when there is due to be east in the wind the west side birdage can be reduced when there are strong westerlies forecast, some fanciers enjoy putting their youngsters on darkness and a reduced programme might make it less worth trying, an average of 12/1300 for each of the first two races still has us providing racing at no extra cost to the fed and may mean that people have more confidence in putting there doos to the longer races. While i am not too keen on this programme i am still happy to have 9 races but i would not have a last short race as every time we have done it the birdage is abysmal and ther race is a non event and loses money. All the best for the rest of the season and keep up the good work
  21. well done harry, great flying and a fantastic reult to finish the season
