Totally lost intrest chad, enviroment in loft was F**ked, o/bs were fine didnt seem to bother them, but if you paired up when you had ybs in boxes they would be pecking at everything in box ??? mice droppings everyware so next thing you would have sick ybs, wits the point, and i dont medicate my birds, so while create a problem and cost yoursel £££££ no brainner mate, other problem was cats all round loft at nite hearing mice so birds got no rest,so wouldn,t exercise, so not fit so wouldn,t win if i was only one that SENT, Totally F**ked,

Well feel sorry for u boys, coz i know how hard it to shift them, had them for 7 years, ( nitemare) even tryed putting builders lime in thier holes to burn them, found mice dont smell when dead seen to just dehydrate shrivil away, but stink out loft we thier P***, i now think they were defo coming in from outside rather than dealing with just inmates, was nothing to be killing 15-20 every time went in loft, same when my mate looked after them,

Hi Andy i even put it in my trainning boxes, that why i built them that way so it didn,t fill car sh**, baskets always leave mess, sterile in loft sterile in boxes ;)

Cheers Mik can but try used deep litter system for about 15years now and never problem we health of birds, with tin loft no damp patches, so dont problem with cocci that, have to take odd bag litter out few times, and the birds are aways moving it about, so am not bothered about birds eating amongest it, all about finding a balance with hygine in loft, how you Mik

Everything scraped on to floor weekly and left till deep, no sand,straw,lime, added. thinking this year of feeding them on floor too, no feeders,

Loft looking great m8t, but is that railway line its faceing we all that wires, could coz problems with ur Y/Bs

you get profile sheeting with permadry (furry coated ) stops the condensation but wont work if it attached to wood, need dpc on wood beams,

geordie would a small fence wee wooden spares along top no do same job, look better, that herz pannels na strong as Andy says, and think u would spend all ur time removing plistic bags and anything winds blows ur way fae that pannels, jmo

Cheers Andy hopefully if mice gone an healthy loft enviroment back i can hav serious go at breeding an racing some birds next year, didnt bother breeding this year, couldnt see point having ybs when u got mice droppings all over nest boxes, just asking for problems, as ybs will pick at anything when in boxes, after years this problem looking forward ta getting back into it,,
