i think you need to be very carefull with yb,s,, building their confidence up seems to be the main thing,, but , if yb,s are released in sunshine , they will soon go through any light rain showers, if well trained previously

kept a few show racers many years ago,, managed to race them up to and over 100 miles,, to get them in the 100 mile class,,, ;D then the judge went for the racers ;D but they did look good , , i suppose every one to his own,, but i allways have a soft spot for them,, even just to look at lol they actually reared many winners,, any eggs from some good w/hood hens , went under them,, so they were two fold lol, bred winners and gave me some enjoyment in the winter

i have won well in the past with yearlings that have only had training tosses as yb,s , but i would prefer them to have some experience in a liberation/transporter,, too many good yb,s lost nowadays [for unknown reasons] when pushed on,
