  5. theres no point in binning good troughs,, theres a womans sound advice for you lol, simple but effective, if this is not caused by the troughs, theres a possibility, that this could be "depluming mite" these are tiny mites that actualy eat through the base of the smaller feathers [usually the chest] leaving the root of the feather still in, theres many" cures" for this, a very old one is rubbing carbolic soap suds into the bare areas, and around [theres many more modern methods , im sure the forum members would advise] the problem with this is , you cant see the results untill the birds moult these" roots", then , hopefully look brand new

  22. ;D ;D ;D ;D but to answer question,, as us mugs [me included ] would buy anything in the past ,, but ive now come to the conclusion ,,,,after adding up the price of un-used , outdated treatments, been lying in a box for ages, bucket jobs lol,,the cost of these, added up, unbelievably shocked me ,, would much rather donate the cash to a more worthy need i would rather concentrate on prevention , without medicines ,,,apart from one ,,,disenfectant i have their droppings tested regular, would buy and treat if it was an absolute must,, as and if needed

  24. i havent used virkon s in the bath water or dipped them in it, but use it every day, lightly spraying the loft with it , birds seem to be free from lice etc,, but have used in the past one third of a bottle of duramitex to a bucket of warm water, this had proved very successful ,, for a long time after
