  2. the main thing is ,,,dont overcrowd the basket , and theyll less stressfull , weekends a good time to do this , i used to put 8 in at a time [put differant colour rubbers on ] , i would leave them without the drinker for a while ,after being fed , then let them hear the sound of running the water in to the drinkers, they would soon drink.

  7. sorry to hear about that o,k. this seems to be a bigger problem in the last few years ,, the urban foxes ,, ive seen three walking like little dogs down the road in the middle of a housing scheme, theres also many around me, their getting braver and bolder, so i think its just a case of making the loft fox proof or setting a trap and letting them go in the countryside?

  14. a very basic widower hood system [actualy the correct name ] is seperating the cocks[not letting them see the hens] exercising 1 hour early morning 1 hour 5 to 6 approx, pefect peace and quiet all day during the" resting period "the hen is shown to the cock in their nest box and the cock sees his hen on return,,,,then separated again till next race,, feeding for short middle distance ,,,,,return on sat ,,depurative pre soaked with lemon juice and beer yeast and dried , this usually fed untill tuesday then widowhood mix fed [widowhood cocks should never be hungry] vits can be put in the water wednesday and a pigeon tea can be given sunday [day after race] this is only the very basics ,, but best read many differant books , see videos etc and keep asking [a few training tosses b4 racing , to get them started , then if in good condition and your succeeding in the system , the cocks should fly for allmost an hour ,,,,,best of luck :)

  16. i agree with you bart ,, but this was obs i was on about ,, , i do think you have to breed more ybs , but enough that you can handle with ease, these 9 cocks were the result of 4 years elimination , to finish up with 9 cocks that had each won a race ,,
