All the best.NEHU are letter i know well from my last stint in the birds.Best pigeons i ever had boar these letters from a true gentalman of the sport Mr Newby Dixon from just out side Newcastle. Any one know of him as lost contact many moons ago. Good luck Cheers Rab Smith -
Glad to here it boomerang. This has been an interesting thread. I do think that the site should should look at all new starts and give accordingly.By this i mean help collectavly. This may be something Webmaster could look, at in order that new starts get help when needed while at the sametime, being able to monitor just what help they have received In other words orginized assistance Rab

Hi Guys, I may be a good example of this. Starting back after 10 years away.I was on a few months before i requested gift birds. The offers i received were great.Indeed some may remember a certain guy on from Ierland that went way over the top, this put me off to be honest.Anyway after i received offers from 5 fanciers, i came back on and thanked them, and told the site i would not be requiring any more. After getting materials for my loft ,which i built myself, found i had not enough cash to purchase any birds. My daughter bought me some 4 birds from tractorboy on this site, for my birthday which is Monday.Still got about 5/6 gift birds to collect. Hope soon i will be in a position to help other, the same way as you guys help me Thanks to all again Rab Smith

Going through the same problem. Computer only 6 months old and I have had them suggest, anything from music, to downloading pictures from my phone as an excuss. True is computers are meant to do all this, or are they not. Now they have sent me a new hard drive, and told me to change it myself. Whatever happen to customer service or care. Crazy world we live in now. Cheers Rab Smith (Victor Meldrew) -

18" just fine mate, make them easy to remove as the front is not needed once birds settle. Big advantage of plastic is it easier to keep clean, than the wood and dowling ones. However like making things to fit loft best for apperance and most practical. Cheers Rab Smith -
Hi Pete, Sorry to here your local guys are not very approachable. Like everything eles in life pigeon racing and those within it, are but a representation of our population, hence you do get some funny beggers. But hay thats life mate, rise above this and enjoy. Happy days Rab Smith

Lanarkshire changing route???
Whats it called Cumbernauld replied to ALF's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
Many a Friday night pigeons are put in baskets knowing full well there will be no race in the morning. Seems to me it would increase your chances of a race by 50%.At least we would have an option. Most races are held over before lunch time Saturday,so whats to stop them changing coasts and going to better weather for a Sunday morning Libiration. The simple answers are very often the best, however they are rejected to easy, because they are simple. Lets here your thoughts please. Rab Smith -
I am the first to say it could take pigeon racing into a new dimension, far removed from how we all know and love our great sport. However i also have to add our sport has been viod of any ideas which would take it forward with a degree of certainty as to its future. One loft races gives options, and are also a great tool for learning more about pigeons. The concept that they are all in the same environment apeals to me, fair in many ways. As for the cost implications, there will be fanciers with winnings about £20/£25 in there club this week, the length and breadth or the country. Cost of food, fuel to train and the likes ,this kind of money does little to get anyone interested, and I am not taking big money, but it can and must be better than it is in many clubs. There are many things wrong within our spot however one loft races are not responsible for our decline. Happy Days, each to there own Rab Smith
