Dougie if we hit every paper where the fanciers live ie east fife mail, fife free press, courier, fife gazette, glenrothes gazette and the rest we have in fife. Can you imagine the reaction from joe public when they see true letters appearing in their papers on a monthly event, all about the devastation being caused by the lack of control of bops. I,m sure there could be papers requesting interviews all over the place. Let me know how you get on mucker. cheers guys, lets get this moving .

it should be put on the membership, just like a golf club does, equally. if you put it on the birdage, the birdage would drop, thus going around in circles. For easy figures, if it cost £20,000 to run the fed minus the previous years birdage £5000 = £15000 divided by membership (150) =£100 per member. at least we know the fed would survive. Am i correct in saying that we made a £6000 loss this year? if so how are we going to stop that happening again, with less members this year than last? serious questions need to be asked and action needs to be taken by people who dont wear blinkers. The other added problem we have is the price of fuel, again higher this than last. The writing is on the wall guys, we need to be realistic here and act on it on it before we need to join another fed as fife will go down the swany, soon.

the petition was a great idea IF you were at Blackpool (i wasnt). Where will the petition go? I applaud everyone who makes the effort, this way along with the petition can highlight our plight all over.

i was at the councillors meeting, and going by the way some people were going on, we will be taking a backward step AGAIN. I cant see the race programme increasing, as there isnt any money available to do so, the way we are going at the moment. I,ve been asking around about joint convoying, again. And there is some interest, however our officials havent approached anyone to air some ideas. I also spoke to friends in peterhead, who have a 20 race programme, which costs less than us, again we need to look at better operations to help ourselves. But i,m afraid this aint going to happen, not at present anyway. Dont know if i,ll be there, as i dont like to be spoken to like i was a 2 year old (just like the councillors meeting). this is my opinion, hope i,m wrong.

so true Davie, i,m sure this WILL get of the ground but really need a helluva more support than shown up till now.

Cheers Derek, if its done this way at least a concentrated event is taking place at once and on a regular basis, all over the uk and beyond. But it will only work if fanciers and the like can be bothered to supply e-mail addresses to send the letters. Its not that hard...............................is it, time will tell. all we need is an intellectual fancier or someone that can collect up to date info/figures, and send the letters out. Roland are you up for it lol .............

As an idea to try and let the public actually see, what the effects are, off having uncontrolled numbers of birds of prey. 1. Have an intellectual fancier, draw up a letter with all the true facts, (not the rspb lies), ready for publication in our local/national newspapers. 2. We the users of this site, and beyond, supply e-mail addresses of our local papers. 3. Once we have collated a great number of papers to be hit, that one person sends an e-mail to every address that he/she has been supplied. 4. An update can be shown, so that we can all see what areas have been covered and those yet needing covered. 5. Letters can be re-written differently, so that on the 1st of every month a new letter, relating to the same cause can be published. 6. we can continue to do this until we get noticed, we may even attract news coverage both local and hopefully nationally. only an idea to try and help our cause. no different to waiting for your fed or national result mucker. The season is short enough, so why not wait for ALL your entries return(or the majority), before going to the club hut?. Its not hindering any clock setters either, whether its straight after the race or waiting till later. I,d far rather relax in my garden watching my birds return. than running away from them, its not fair on them. imo.

i fully understand an sympathise with the fancier/s who have had this happen to them. I realy hope that they have the inner strength to carry on. As for the people responsible, nothing, and i mean NOTHING will be done. Trust me i know first hand, in fact the police said to me "if you can make him disappear of this planet, we the police will be glad of it". Thats what these spinless gits live for, and to retaliate is lower to their level. As hard as it is, remain calm and think rationally, its worth it in the end. After 3 years of it it happening to me, i still look out my back window with dreaded fear that its happened again. However time is a great healer and i,m starting to get the bug again. As i,m not brilliant at wording letters, can some one write a letter to be put into our local papers? The plan would be to have all the ACTUAL facts in a letter, and on a specific date/day we all put the letter into the local and possibly national papers. This would hit the public more than just an odd letter here and there. We could keep doing this with a differently worded letter once per month and bring the true facts to the public, and not the bullsh it that the rspb keep lying about. Then we would hopefully see the best decline we could hope for............ the rspb membership. Only an idea, so if there is anyone out there that can put a small compact hard hitting letter together, please let us know, then we could put the plan in place. We need to try anything that can help us for the future. Regards alex.

you can make a wooden one fairly cheaply. just look at the design of one either in a magazine or another fanciers. regards alex.

Would the powers to be, listen to this idea? if so can it be a proposal at this years agm?

The reason Fife fed agm has been changed to the 5th of feb, is because it clashed with the snfc agm on the 29th of jan. So the next question is, when is the snfc agm? 29th of jan or 5th of feb? As for travelling to the agm to have your say, robbie is quite right in saying we all pay the same fees. However if its on your door step and costs nothing to get there, its slightly different when you have to use a tank of fuel to get there and back, and takes up a whole day instead of a few hours. Its high time there should be a postal ballot which caters for ALL its members and not the closest living members. How hard can it be, not very imo.

If its not in their interest then i,ll be ok lol we will soon see, thanx again, alex.
