You ve read it wrong m8.What Im saying is, dont use it until you need to. You wouldnt take an aspirin if you hadnt a sore head. By the way, Ive had salmonella in my loft and know the script about the disease. Another misconception in the pigeon world is that PMV is the worst disease you can get. Wrong, torticollus of the neck is a very unsightly thing but if the pigeon manages to eat and drink then it overcomes the disease very easily. Paratyphoid is as bad as PMV imo.
Well said m8, my thoughts exactly. If pigeon fanciers hadnt jagged against PMV then our birds would have overcome the disease naturally. Mother nature would have made sure of that and now we have paratyphoid vaccinations getting forced on us. I m not condemning treating with anything if needed but it must be needed first. JMO
Must admit, that was the worst ever Rangers performance I have seen. A total embarrassment to our country and we are champions of Scotland too. :B :B We are entitled to be slagged off on that performance. We played like the Tic tonight
Your right Tam, finishing the programme should be everyones goal. I like to compete at every race , fed and national and have done so for a few years now. There are never many in the west section that complete this but we achieved it again this year m8, roll on 2010 May I add to this, it is alot easier completing the Lanarkshire fed programme than it is the Midland, they have some major scary races.
You obviously dont know nothing about pigeon racing. In the west section this year, 3 lofts only, scored in 6 nationals. I was one of them. Do your homework club man. Tell me how many national tickets youve got ;D ;D
BKWF, I dont think youve got the drift of what we are on about. I am saying money can help in becoming a successful pigeonman, if youve got enough of it. Nothing about Jim Donaldson or a loft manager etc. Most successful pigeon people have got a knack with pigeons and livestock and money doesnt come into it, but some depend on a healthy bank balance to help them achieve their goals.
If youve got enough money you can have Ronnie Williamson as loft manager m8. Also, he has a fantastic reputation so he would be trying to win everything to keep his job.Anyway, its now getting a bit daft m8, my point is, if you have plenty of dosh, things are definately easier
Your definately a big threat in SNFC now Youngzimmy after Jock3 presenting you with all them top birds Good luck tae ye .You now have the tools for the job
Very good informative post Fred. Im a great believer in quality, not quantity and this highlights my beliefs. I have more pigeons now than I ever had and I feel you cant get involved as much with preparing individual pigeons for the distance races. Ill have to cut back, no question about it.
Look, there is no *expletive removed* way you have a loss if you are convoyed by an other organisation to a channel race. You know, it is a funny thing, how ignorant pigeon men can be sometimes. Imagine the SNFC suddenly refused to take feds and decided themselves, to get convoyed , maybe with the UNC or the NFC to their races. Think how federations would struggle , maybe not right away, but in a few years time, when their membership had dwindled even more. Lets stop the crap lads and just enjoy our pigeons. Alf, your the first nomination for the SNFC committee this year, this is where you will really be heard, you can even run the west section marking stations. My convenors jacket might fit ye
