You dont need to darken m8, breed early and have a dark loft with access to aviary .Some will act like darkies, some wont. Get the best of both worlds

I have to agree here, the weather here is feckin the worst ive ever seen pigeons being liberated in. Granted, it was plain sailing up the east and maybe into central belt but from there , heading westerly, it is pea soup. Very well done to all who got them through this neck of the woods.

Now yer talking Frank. Jock Allan , a legend in the SNFC West section, with over 300 Diplomas ( I know, cause I counted them ). Jocks success at the main event ( Rennes Gold Cup ) is unbelievable. His birds are responsible for SNFC success for lots of top West section fanciers including Jim Hannah, G.Rankin & son, J.Alston J.O'Hara, etc etc. More recent Gold cup section winner , J.Woods, has the Allan blood in his lofts. Jock Allan was a gentleman and I remember he sent me a congratulation card when I won the Section in the Gold Cup. Enclosed was £20 for a drink Jock knew how to drink also ;D He will be sadly missed
