Got a yb at 9.09 sat out 4 minutes,( it sat out for hours last week and big Gareth told me to bin it lol ) timed 9.13 from Lanarkshire Otterburn.All the birds flying for a few minutes on arrival, really enjoying themselves.

They either have it or they don't, plenty of latebreds went onto be champions. I know a guy that splits his 30 ybs, 15 get raced, 15 trained only and as yearlings both do equally well. In fact he timed the unraced ones from Ypres 2 years in a row as yearlings. As I say, they either have it or they don't and most don't.

That's what its all about, helping each other out, well done.

The only thing about syringing water over their throats is that they blow it straight out their azz, but if you think you should do it, 30ml is plenty.

Billy knows his stuff re planning etc but I suppose you are right, he should ve got everything in place before he advertised the OLR.

Its a pity how things have went up til now with the SOLR. Billy hasn't had a chance with all the planning and red tape hes had to deal with, however, you only make enemies if you haven't complete transparency for your entrants. This is the exact same thing that's happened with the SNFC in recent years, a lot of cloak and dagger stuff imo. I hope everything works out and we can learn from our mistakes to take forward to the SOLR for next year.
