Aye its a big area Stu but what I mean in wee is the members/birdage .Its obviously a lot harder winning section E. Ive been lucky and won the west Region 5 times but that only equalled beating sect E 5 times but I would've had 21 or 22 x 1st section F if still in Glasgow:emoticon-0138-thinking: Not taking anything away from the results in section F though. This takes me back to my original point, there are great fanciers everywhere but some have no chance of proving it at the highest level because of location.

Controversial answer here lol.No matter what anyone says Stu, the Gold cup is the holy Grail of pigeon racing in Scotland and this race should be PRIORITY on the SNFC calendar and made as fair as possible for EVERYONE to win, not just certain areas. My previous postings about breaking points and fatigue factors should be brought in for this race imo. This itself would generate more pool money etc because everyone is on a leveller playing field and would think they had a chance to win it and therefore pool their pigeons in the open pools. As said before, this will never happen as people like the penalty kick and don't want fairness in our sport. Sponsorship is another avenue the national has used before. It still worked out unfair as you couldn't allocate every section the same prizes eg. its harder to win big section E than it is small section F, or section B than D.so even though the money could be split pro rata per sectional birdage, it is still easier to get your hands on it in a smaller section. I don't know how to make the Gold cup any greater than making it FAIRER to ALL to win.omho

Always will be distance racing because every fancier aspires to fly the distance whether they say they do or not. It may come down to travelling many miles to get them away though but imo the real fanciers will always be there.
