  7. Poor Bert probably passed away with the fright you gave him by actually paying 30 bob
  8. I don't think the 15 year ban will stick. If it goes to the RPRA appeal he should win his case. They will see it as a civil matter and use that as a get out clause imo. ps. I hope they don't mind ye.
  9. Callum has scored well in the SNFC since only starting a few years ago.PS The gay pied cock is a cracker :emoticon-0137-clapping:
  10. Count me in, hope someone can set it up. Put me down for 1 or 2 for the 1,045 miles
  11. Depends what ye mean by hard Tam, the Arona isn't hard, it is a lottery with 100s of birds lost at silly distances.I would say the O.L.R that was held in the west section of Scotland a few years ago was a hard one to compete in. Birds homing and racing ability were tested whereas the Arona is a survival race, luck being a key factor. The best one loft race is the Algarve imo , the majority ( around 60%)of birds usually get to the main event which is flown from 500km. The returns from the main event have been superb also. This is only my opinion and I wish anyone who enters the Arona the very best of luck.
  12. my very thoughts Walter
  13. :emoticon-0167-beer: I would be asking Gary what system he uses George

  17. Aye Wullie, they are going together. Wee Barry Mimnaugh from up your way got 2 ybs half brother/sister to the Wimbledon hen. He was not long away with them before she appeared from Ancenis.
  18. Thought I heard you say theres a bit of ground free up your way lol. The hen is a niece of Spider Colin and the cock is off my good English hen so not related, just HAY DOOS LOL
  19. She won the west section on the day Andy Murray won Wimbledon Joe
  20. Looks a decent pair to go together
  21. Relief Walter, good stuff
  22. I agree and the RPRA O.L.R had it tough also but over the last few years, the Arona has had without doubt the worst returns from their training tosses, a lot of these at very short distances too.
  23. Didn't know that Wullie, im sure its def a step in right direction, atb
  24. Ive tried this o.l.r and its a complete lottery imo. Its not a good gamble to me statisticly. The birds are very well looked after and are always in cracking nick BUT they don't get a chance to prove themselves imo. I said before I think they should have training tosses from only 100, 400 and 800 yards out into the sea to get the birds used to being libbed from a boat.Im positive this would help them get at least 50-60% ( instead of 10% )of their entry to the final race, which is exactly what everyone wants. This is not the hardest o.l.r as some say, it is a total game of chance which is a pity because the set up is superb. Anyway, as they say in the Dragons Den, for that reason Im out, but I wish all the British birds ( especially Scottish ) all the very best of luck. Youll need it :emoticon-0167-beer: ps.Surprised some guys went back into this event after saying they wouldn't go near it again
  25. Absolute shyte , no way should that guy be judging. Joking aside, good advert for us boys.
