Pigeonscout your whole argument here is based on the practise being deceitful or somehow cheating and dishonourable, so who is being deceived or cheated, the club, fed and combine members know its a young bird, theyre not being deceived, its only got the old ring on because procedure states it must be entered in the register, once thats entered why would anyone want to look at the other ring anyway, theres nothing on that ring thats going to influence the race.

If you saw a handful of birds being trained it could be open race specialists, if youre seeing hundreds its ferals heading back to the towns after fielding. The theories are good but to send to the first race in May would mean a 200 mile jump for us so birds will be out in March, trained and first race 4 april

A bit late in posting but Joes perfectly correct, and regarding it being deceitful the club and fed members are fully aware of it and should they want to put the additional work in the option is open to them.no-ones being deceived. Its been done for at least 18 years up here when quite a few members joined the NFC, when the YB National came round our young birds were maybe at 140 miles and facing a 200 mile jump whereas other members were only flying 140. To get experience and some distance on the birds they were flown as old birds down to Lillers or Abbeville then the old rings cut off and sent with the NFC. This doesnt come easy and theres a lot of work involved in it.

So how old are the birds harky and where are you located

A member on here ordered 4 pair of gabys about a month ago but for one reason or another he's gone quiet. The parents were all bred by either Mike Lycett, Steve Foster, Chris Little or Kipling Partners. These are all 08 birds and flew the yb programme and the cocks would have been in the race team, unfortunately he's timing's perfect and i'm all paired and most sitting, i dont want to upset the lofts now by adding these 4 pair back in. If anyones interested i'm looking for £100 for the 4 pair complete with pedigrees, they are all in excellent order and all go back to direct M and D stock.

John sold all his birds and as far as i'm aware was intending to bring a team of yb's in yearly and race them, thus saving him a load of time in breeding and old bird racing, i don't know if that actualy happened. With regard to telling eveyone his secrets he was charging interested parties 15 quid, wasn't actually giving them away.

Hello White Knight and thanks for the reply, i didnt mention John Raines so youre ahead of me. However, i have these details but....... What i'm after is the size of the bags of rice and the bag of conditioner, the bags of rice in the supermarket come in various sizes and i've looked on the net at Natural and theres no reference to small bags of conditioner, can anyone help. Thanks for your reply JAM, i realise that, but just want the Thurs Fri mix to save me £15 lol, the other aspects have to be right no matter what system we fly, but thanks for replying.

Has anybody came across this system, i know JR flew very well and i'm interested in the mix for the thursday and friday am feed, some of the quantities are missing.

of course there are some good ones there its a skill to pull out the good ones some don't have it so they just put in stupid posts to hide there ignorance 99.9% dont have that skill, including me.

You cant have pads under landing boards, the obvious would be to put the pads under the landing boards of sputniks. The trap shown should be located with the front of the trap level with the front of the loft, ie within the confines of the loft. The bob wires have no bearing on the matter, open doors have no bob wires.

Had if first hand and couldnt stand it. Tried soil, grits, vitamins, minerals anything u can think of and still they went into the fields. Tried waiting in the fields for them banging a bin lid but they just move along a bit. Dis[posed of some good birds trying to stop it but to no avail. Well Kev they might but racing 500 mile into Yorkshire is different than 500 mile into the sw, you would need a different pigeon. But there are all over the country fanciers that can win at 50 -500 not many get birds at 550/700 And I like you Kev flew in Yorkshire and will add it's more difficult to fly down here, as I think you've found out and I'm talking the 50 -500 miles Can i ask why its harder down there. To get back to the topic both buschaerts and janssens win up here from 80 to 500 miles but the 500 is on the day or early second day, and agree 600 to 700 is a totally different animal.
