  2. Hi, what breed are the hens and what sort of price are u looking for.
  3. iS CLOCKMAN OR kAYBEE SELLING THE YB, NOT SURE WHAT THE CRACK IS LOL.
  4. Is this an auction, can i bid for it.
  5. Wires crossed Andrew. You refer to one of the hens for sale as having bred a 5th and a 12th section, it wasnt clear which one it was, i think it was lot 5.
  6. Think i've sussed it, hen 5 bred them, sorry for the question. Cheers
  7. Almost certainly fielding slugmonkey, thats where they're bringing the other birds from, theyre bored.
  8. Andrew, Did lot 4 or 5 breed these pigeons.
  9. The obvious question is "whats it bred"but i suppose its too young to know.
  10. I'm after a couple of Petron combined stall traps / trapping bays.
  11. Any chance of copying me the pm seagull/
  12. So neither 1 ounce or as much as they want, but as much as they need, and thats where the skill comes in, and unfortunately most of us dont have enough of that.
  13. Strongly agree with a paragraph in jacks first post re "just enough petrol to get them from A to B", however some birds will just not exercise on 2 dessertspoons or one ounce per day which then requires regular, even daily training flights. I know top flyers in the North East who feed widowhood cocks communally, maybe the slow eaters just go to the wall but this certainly doesnt afect their "team " performance. Many roads lead to Rome, again as always, down to the pigeon man and quality of stock.

  16. Carls stated he hasnt got the Sire and Dam so cant do most of the suggestions put forward to breed to a certain line so brother and sister might be the only option. I'm sure there was a Dordin enthusiast a while back who used to breed from siblings with a lot of success.
  17. Speedbird Ken Smith stocks it Philadelphia, Houghton way, if you get stuck his shop is on the Up North Combine website under pigeon sales.
  18. I'm sure a well known liverpool fancier once offered as tips, to look out for "a cock with a dropped tail flight" and a "tic eyed cock",as pigeons to do you a bit of good.
  19. Speedbird, when i raced in the past (restarted last year) used to try all kinds of systems and had the field thing you describe for a long time, everything they need is in the loft but they used to circle the fields and sometimes drop, never sussed it, whether chasing hens or bored but eventually it seemed to right itself. Regarding feed i did virtually the same as Jimmy White, even holding the widowhood mix back til Wednesday afternoon with good results. Nowadays, people are using Gerry plus and Diet and similar to Spelbin i'm trying it but in my case without any success. Spelbin, not teaching my granny to suck eggs but i always found if they got too much of either depurative or mix all week they didnt show as well, liked to have them looking for something on Friday and the ones that ate well friday usually turned up.
  20. Tom, if you have the patience to keep trying new lines i think its the best way, stock pigeons are expensive to buy and its another loft to house and feed all year. Having said that i wouldnt breed off the race team unless they're winning or very well bred. Just means buying a draft of YB's in each year till something shows
  21. I had 14 latish YBs in this years team(all got the last come back Bubwith race) and only have 3 left after 6 races.
  22. whats the breeding carl
  23. High Southwick
  24. Probably should have addded this earlier but the Evans' are flying tremendously again this year, these birds are a giveaway at this price, hell of a bargain losalt.
