  1. Terry only just seen your question. I think it has been answered above.
  2. IB, thanks it was very informative. Do you think the Iodine could be the key, Matrix is always put in front of my birds. * Introduce a low fat diet (low sunflower seed content). * Balance nutrition by following the Ongoing Health Programme. * Use an Iodine supplement to stimulate the thyroid gland and metabolism of fatty tissues. * Stimulate exercise twice daily to help with weight and fat reduction. * Return in 2 weeks for re-assessment of the tumour.
  3. Have a good one and jobs a good um.
  4. This is a dominant opal hen.
  5. I have since changed my mind and they are recessive opals. I have one very similar.
  6. Glad to see they are still flying, seems that Brian Denny over shadowed them this year with his performances. That distance as Rose says is true, some are easier than others but they are definately not easy. In 2007 it was one of those easy races, trouble was 4 birds never showed up. These were older birds which had had experience for the flyer who raced them, they were broken to my loft and I am still waiting :-/
  7. Anyone know what has happend to Keith Bush and his brother from S*expletive removed*horpe? They used to fly a mean pigeon when the going got tough but this year no sight of them, Any ideas?
  8. This is something I asked last year somewhere. I think a bird who likes East winds is one sided and the west wind bird is the other handed. Ambidextros when it don't matter.
  9. I watched their video and they didn't send if there was any rain about Not sure how they fit into our weather system :'(
  10. Aircap at £120 QUID IS VERY GOOD.
  11. 100 over the season
  12. Well done Budgie, only just looked at this thread.
  13. My boxes are empty. Cocks are in a perched side and hens the other. The next time they see the boxes is when I pair them up.
  14. If you know anything about the ETS system you will know it is not simple. If the clock officials cannot get to grips witht he whole set up join and do it. I am pretty good with comuters use them at home and work but for some it is still magic box stuff. How can you force someone who has not skill at all to do your ETS, my advice is to join the comittee and get a grip of the situation. I accept that some just don'twant it but how do you sort out which is which. If you join and set it up I am sure the others who see it working properly will some pick it up and get into the ETS circle with you.
  15. to true
  16. The ring i thought when marked had a code added at marking which then coresponded at arrival at the race end.
  17. Join the clock comittee and become familiar with the system and you can use it if there are enough of you. You only need to specialise in the ETS
  18. Even easier than slight of hand, cut up some rings and find the chip, the chip registered to the bird. Put a plaster on your finger with the chip under it. I am sure will work everytime you get that cheat marking their own birds.
  19. Yes this is true and I was told this by Bricon before ETS was allowed in the UK. Their marking system is so designed to prevent this taking place. All you need is a ring which is defunct, put it on a bird, mark your own bird while having the actual ring in your hand. Slight of hand and hey presto it registers but you now have the ring in your pocket. Simple solution to this is follow the rules and never allow a member to mark their own birds. I accept that in these times of smaller clubs it goes on but wait until you top the fed and watch the complaints go in. As has been said rubbering has its problems too. The conclusion is follow the rules and be vigulant at marking, no body else will police it except you!
  20. I think you have to be vetted first?
  21. Are some of them KOi or Koiarp? Nice catch
  22. ?
  23. Sadly it is off.
  24. Salum Ali-kum
  25. http://subscriber.pagesuite-professional.co.uk/subscribe.aspx?eid=fd6c94a8-abe4-4879-b04e-6ae2a11ed08d The above link takes you to the digital version of the RP. This has got to be the way forward and I do not see why the BHW has not followed suit. The postal service is so poor or late than it used to be I would sign up for it today.
