as someone who gets it in the neck when there us a bad race I have said for the last couple of years that that season should be delayed but the nationals would have to give and put less emphasis on young bird racing and use the races to teach them rather than hammer them just my opinion sales are fast becoming a thing of the past

was at a pigeon panel a few weeks back one of the guys told us that if the peregrine is having a bad nest they replenish the nest with young from the people that breed them in aviaries so that takes nature right out of it and we should be able to do something about them but I agree think its already too late

tom mcleoud from elphinstone had a gold award winner bred from a gold award winner never understood why it didnt get the credit it deserved j and g whitsons muirpark dependable seven times a winner over the water and its gold award had every racepoint on it including nantes a truly great pigeon

you have to remember there are people out there who do not basket train their birds they think their birds will do the same as the rest not true if they are not properly trained they just stand not knowing what to do and are easily intimadated by the more boistrous birds cocks and hens

the letter stated that the temps at the top were higher due to the perspex roof geraldys have insulated roof panels to minimise this also we have a stat fitted to air the back of the motor once the temp reaches 25 degrees this can be adjusted to whatever req needed have personally never had any feedback from fed members about birds staggering around and believe me if this was the case they would let me know and rightly so the shutters are also ventilated to allow air throughput when travelling our birds are very happy in the aluminium crates and most mornings the motor is alive they can see out when the shutters are up and this also keeps them happy i personally think they are state of the art and defo the way forward

theres something goes on around the plae the birds get confused my birds wont exercise further than the village itself its really weird

i live close to the airport in newbridge since i moved here have been decimated year on year cannot get out the bit very upsetting but i love the birds

what i find with the almond valley transporter is that the birds will drink when the water in the drinkers is moving i spend a lot of time in the back trying to get them to take on water which is the most important thing in my opinion totally agree with the early start in longer races very good post as most pigeon men have no idea what convoyers go through to have a good race i personally take it hard when the races are dodgy as i try my best for full returns [impossible i know but thats the mentality i have every time i leave the house]
