  1. the thread was removed as it caused unrest and members asked for it to be removed i think it had come too an end too to be honest if u have any questions please contact a moderator or administrator I'm locking this thread please forward any more questions by the above method
  2. http://forum.pigeonbasics.com/m-1151691929/s-0 some pics here there might be something in there that u can use as they say a picture tells a 1000 words
  3. i think a lot of this is down too people now specialise in either sprint middle or distance and feed and train to win from certain distances i say this in most cases of course where as years gone by people tried to have a all round team wining from sprint to distance most of us are back yard fliers so its hard to have the space too have a team that will compete from the shortest to the longest race so we tend to stick with one or the other
  4. a few year ago back it was only my second old bird season had 16 17 widowhood cocks i had nearly half my team taken in two weeks before the racing season by bops that was hard to take at the time my head was spinning around with madness as u can imagine it made the wins and results i had that year all the better with this sport there are a lot of downs and it can be hard to take but i think when u get that cock or hen bursting his or her gut to get inside the loft or the one u got from the distance or the one u prepared for a certain race and he didn't let u down these are the ups sometimes they can be hard to see when your head is not in the right place over madness or a disappointed but belive me they are there stick with it because when these days come the bad day disappears and these are the days that u will remember
  5. very interesting jimmy must give it a go other than this playing with your pigeons will make them very tame
  6. if u separate them for two weeks if possible i mean cocks and hens I'm not sure what u are feeding but id put them on a lighter feed too hens are not great too pair when they are too heavy wheatgerm oil also helps if u let us know a little about your feeding set up I'm sure u will answers that u require hard to answer as we need a little info
  7. hi strapper ive moved a thread or two in the last while ill have a look to see what ive done
  8. hard to belive was just telling a friend the same thing today only had it a little differnt saying that there more moisture in a west wind il be keeping an eye when weather is warm and an east wind what returns are like a good day with west winds could throw up some interesting results
