only reason i can see for pairing up on full moon is that parents will keep feeding the young in the night dont belive in all that if u breed at certain times of the moon u get pigeons to suit different races heard or read it somewhere couldent be true hope this helps

just a quick fix to get u out of trouble put up that white airboard under roof should fix problem for now but futher repairs needed down the road

well everyone this dont surprise really im only in raceing a few years and i have seen it all sum ppl minds just work different really like how bad is it when theres not even a prize and we have ppl cheating if ppl outside the pigeon sport saw this thread we would be a laughing stock i think the problem is id put money on it that theses ppl are the trouble makers in there clubs and getting away with it or a little smack on the wrist i think there names should be named sorry there just me ranting again

i think it is simple really the buyer knows what hes buying if he makes a bad choice in which we are all guilty of it happenns if a licence fee comes in might start low maybe £50 but we all know its going to rise to suit the studs so they will be the only one to advertise its up to the buyer if he wants to buy or not the pigeon game is expenise enough allreadywith out more fees only advive i can give is to do ure homework where fanicer lives and if its spirnt pigeons hes selling that hes raceing aganist sprint fanicers seen many great resuls over a season where a sprint flyer is raceing aganist men that only use sprint races as traning tosses parts of holland is a prime example

ure right not to jump in with medicens smoke bomb a good idea or light a fag in your loft and smoke should rise slowelly and out through the top rem that hot air rises so on my loft i have the air going out at the back so the back should be higher than the front to let out the hot air and draughts can cause this as well

albear finally someone talking sence rember when u buy thse fancy breeds of pigeon some of these pigeons were kept in lofts with loft mangers cleaners cleaned maybe 4 or 5 times a day with lofs that most of us can only imagine heating plates u know u all seen the videos for most of us we cant copy there work effort lofts with our day time jobs of course there are top quailty birds to be got in belgum and germany and rember to see where hes liveing and who hes flying aganist i was looking at birds with many 1st prizes in holland and when i done my homework he was liveing in the perfect area and was raceing aganist mostly disstance men yes there was big birdage in the races but the disance men were mostlly useing them for traning tosses

if its a old cock hell be allright probally his pride hurt more lock the two cock in there boxes and leave them out different times it will take the hurt cock a bit of time to get his confidence back but once he wins the first fight again hell be ok if u want in a weeks time or so take a cock from a different loft and throw him in his box and leave your hurt cock win the fight pull him out by the tail and ull see him coming back to life hope this helps

timbaraa u make a good point there might try it next year i have allways kept them in but i have had brill resuls hard to know if i should change a way that is winning for me i find when i keep them in they go through moult faster and at the moment i have 2 cocks which dropped 2 flights at same time and even had 1 cock that dropped 3 which i think there is no way u could leave them out i like my birds to go through moult as fast as possible allways leave them out after they drop last flight and with hawks during winter i find it danourous its just what i find by keeping them in allthough u do have me thinking for next year allways great to hear other ppl ideas

best thing i found when i started is to listen to advice but if u can get ure hands on a book that was written in last few years dont go back to far most good books will have a weekelly plan for feeding also take into account different feeds for different distances a good read is kevin hursts book east to west covers feeding very well amongst other things

never has probs either but only used them a few times

maybe an idea there bart but how long will that take look what money we spend on charity in blackpool show and rightlly so but a wise old man said to me one time charity begins at home if we used some this money to advertise our sport and whats happening to it with hawks and fallcons and something was done it would mean more fanciers stay in the sport and new fanciers come in which means down the line there would even be more money for charity rspb is an orginsed massive pr machine and we need to do something or else we will be called the forgotten men just a tought
