Tommy Ford from Northern Ireland has asked me for some help to try and track down a phone no. for a Mr Robert Baird from Ayr. Mr Baird has reported a bird belonging to Tommy but the telephone no. supplied is not the correct one. Any help would be appreciated.
nice gesture tomo its just a pity nobody took you up on your offer, i am not sure how many members are under 16 but there must be a few. It is their loss.
Glasgow Federation and South Lanarkshire Federation liberated from Huntingdon at 06.00 am into a light south easterly wind. Good luck to all forum members racing today.
peckedhen sounds like they are fit and just wanting to fly. i would move to 10 miles after they start beating me home but dont worry as they are still educatiing themselves by roaming after returning.
ordered garlic juice to use in the drinker Van Hee product and some other bits and pieces when order arrived no garlic juice, note attached to say it will follow, waited 2 weeks still no garlic juice so i phoned and still not in stock. lady asked if i would take a replacement product so i said ok it arrived a week later and it was garlic oil and not juice, phoned up to ask why and was told to post it back if i did not want it. not great customer service.
total birdage was 1531 but personally it was not a good race, never got a feather from what i can gather Kenny Bald is the winner so congratulations to him but i think there are still a few birds to make it home,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,espically mine.
I must say i purchased 12 birds from Tony last year and they are quality birds. He was a gentleman to deal with and the birds were ready the day he said they would be. I would like to wish Tony and Anne all the best of luck in their retirement and who ever buys the birds will be getting a bargain.
hi joe linell sell them and they are about £75.00. they also have a race programme which allows you to download times straight from the clock to the programme, race results done in seconds.
North Glasgow sunny spells with light showers and a light westerly breeze so far. Are there any members in the Pontefract, Wakefield area to let us know what it is like down there. Good luck to all who are racing today.
Glasgow Federation are at Pontefract with South Lanarkshire Fed, weather looks like it might be a bit of a mixed bag so fingers crossed and good luck to everyone racing this weekend.
location, location, location and by that i mean find yourself a house where you can race your birds in peace from your own back garden free from any hassle ie neighbours cats etc. Then write down everything you want from your loft, roof type, sections, size, depth, boxes, perches. If you get it right first time it means less tinkering and changes when the birds are trying to settle. Then you will need a team of birds capable of winning for you and a system to match. But judging by the cock you sent up to myself you sound as if you have good team of birds already. all the best with your new venture and the best of luck to you.
Yes rab i see that in the results but your result of 4th, 5th, 9th fed with 8,000 birds competing is fantastic flying well done and tell you Dad and big D to keep up the good work.
just a tip for you jason i recently altered the garden and put up a new loft which resulted in the washing line having to go and it has cost me a new washer dryer, i fear you may be in the same boat. nice neat set up make sure and post a picture of the new loft when finnished.
Yes Wings flying in the chryston club and used to fly in the Kirkintilloch club as the posts above say a super flier who obtains the very best of birds and only keeps the best of these. For anyone that is interested Billy has had an advert in the BHW for the last couple of weeks selling youngsters and he is a fair man to deal with.
