James the electronic system will probably be in everyday use within a couple of years. as tt says if you work shifts etc it could be a godsend. some dont like it for various reasons ie very vague rules or guidelines and some just want to handle their birds on return etc. first check to see if it is allowed to be used in your club fed.

I must agree with stuart , I had a few problems with late delivery and turning up with no boxes etc and found that the van driver was the best person to deal with as he had all the contact numbers etc and always tried his best to help out. Now when I have a delivery he phones to say what time he will be with me and has on occasion asked me to meet him on route if he is very busy.

If it is they have a misguided sense of responsibility because unless the bird is really special and could be kept for stock you know where it will end up.

makes you wonder how these people were brought up. cutting rings off young birds, needless killing of birds on allotments in liverpool and here in scotland stealing birds from a successful fancier, you sometimes ask youself why do we bother. pete the fact the bird has arrived in good condition after 3 weeks would lead me to think that some gutless bast**d has had him in liked the look of him and cut the ring off to hide his identity, maybe tried to break him in the hope of breeding from him. ask you club if you can send him as a trainer and see how he comes for you. all the best of luck to you.

I think the poor weather conditions last night and this morning have not helped. It was raining here from 7pm last night and still is. Scot Gibson what an excellent season he is having again, superb flying.

Well customer service does not get any better than this, I ordered some multivits and other bits and pieces from PJ LOFTS yesterday morning and they arrived in the post this morning.

hate to repeat myself but if this is not the place to discuss it then why bring it up in the first place. no matter who asked you.

Hopefully there will be a good race as a lot of fanciers up here in Scotland have had some really sticky races at the end of the season. The very best of luck to all fanciers who have sent I wish you all well and may the best bird win.

JUST GOT A COPY OF THE FULL RESULT LESS THAN 1 YARD IN IT AFTER 55O MILES AND BIRDS IN EVERY SECTION IN EARLY LOOKS LIKE A GOOD RACE OVERALL. THINK THE IDEA OF LIBERATING ON A FRIDAY WAS A GOOD ONE.
